Please list the price of your product on or near each ClickBank payment link

Ive just been informed by a Clickbank representative that I must list the price of my product ON or NEAR each clickbank payment link on my site.

This is new to me. Ive never had this before.

Has anyone else been told this?

This seems ridiculous because I have payment links all over my site???

    Hi Johnny,

It doesn't seem ridiculous to me. People don't read every word on a page - some scoot straight down to see the price after being sold on just a few lines of hypey salesletter. Therefore possible reasons -

    a) FTC

    b) affiliates would prefer not to have loads of order form impressions without sales - IE - it screws up their analytics - likewise for CB

    c) it strains the CB server to have so many order form impressions and might cause others who actually want to buy a different product to leave the page when the order form fails to load

    d) others might leave the page rather than clicking through, which CB don't want (nor should the vendor)

    e) it just looks tacky. If you have reason to hide the price (away from the button) you appear to have something to hide.

      Hey dude.

You raise some valid points, all of which seem to make perfect sense. I guess "ridiculous" wasnt the best use of wording.....perhaps "excessive"

Im just a bit confused because I've never had to do this before, and their instructions seemed quite vague. I'm certainly not trying to hide the price in any way - guess something must've changed since the launch of my other product 2 months ago.... *shrug

      Thanks either way.

It's new for me, but from a customer standpoint I like it.

It's always time wasting when the price IS on the sales letter, but it's burried in a mile of text, or it is NOT on the sales letter and I have to click the order button just to find out the price.

From a seller point of view, some marketers seem to find that hiding the price helps converting.

That's what I often have to do with CB products.

That's what they're trying to get rid of, because it slaughters conversion rates AND their bandwidth.
