Which Free WP Theme Do You Use?

I use a bunch of free themes from all over. I use the keyword sniper theme (actually dateless sniper) for several of my sites.

I use free themes too. There are so many available, it just isn't necessary to buy one unless you have it custom made.

I've just started using WP in the last week, have my first blog up. And, while I was designing it, I became somewhat of a theme whore. I downloaded about 30 of them!

But, in the end, I chose the plainest one, simply because I could put my custom header on it.

I am currently using the Flexibility Theme on a couple of sites.

I find it a bit easier to modify with their built in options panel.

I use mostly free wp themes and some custom made ones - some of the free ones:

cutline
freshy
i3 theme
beachhouse theme

and just testing out the 'corporate branding theme' as well.

I have started to design all of my own using Artisteer.

It produces excellent code and allows to build your own theme in whatever arrangement you like. What I really like about it is that all the things you add all work. Unfortunately a lot of free themes have to be played with to get some things working properly.

Here is the very first one I built A complete resource of Internet Marketing related news.

Cutline was the first WP theme I used. I believe they now have a paid version with all the bells and whistles on it. I'm lucky because my brother-in-law is a WP designer and he can customize things for me.

Quentin. That's a very nice non-blog-looking blog. And you're right, the streaming audio really does load fast.

I use some of the ones mentioned above, including Elegant Themes.

One not mentioned here is Revolution. The first generation Revolution themes were great, but not free.

Their second generation themes are free:

flexibility, i even donated.

And...i also really love "ProSense". Plain. Simple. Nice to the eyes. Greate AdSense CTR.

I tried so many other templates and themes, but thats the two i use, depending on niche/market.

I mostly use my own themes. I prefer to use single column themes with the sidebars at the bottom or right side 2 column themes.

I've used Desk Mess, Makisig and Prime Press. I like Prime Press the best though because it's simple and uncluttered. Makisig looks great but sometimes slips with the CSS depending on how you customize it.

"Thesis" theme is the best I've come across for quality of construction - but it's not free. In fact, I liked it so much I created my own "clone" of it from scratch for use with Drupal!

I think for free I'd have to agree with Kat and Phil that the Revolution 2 themes are best. Fantastic quality for a free theme.

I downloaded the Flexibility Theme (Flexibility Theme for WordPress) and am very impressed with it's features and the ability to customize it through the options panel.
