Question For A Very Clever Warrior!

hey

basically i was wondering if there is a way i can use the same aweber form on 2 different pages, BUT each one directing to a different redirect. The reason is im offering a FREE gift, when they opt in there hit with a OTO, if they buy there sent to paypal to buy, then redirected to a page i made with an opt form in order to build a list full of buyers. (buy the way i have also set in aweber so if they buy the OTO and go onto my buyers list there automatically removed from my prospect type list)

NEXT IS THIS:

So what happens is this, they have there OTO but now need to check their email for the FREE GIFT they opted in for, they hit the link in the email and there sent to a OTO where they can obviously pass and hit the link at the bottom of the page. But if they want this OTO aswell i was gonna do the exact same thing as before, send them to a page with optin etc etc.

This is the problem though, if they buy both OTO's and obviously opt in again to get the oto download, that means there now on my 2 buyers lists, recieving 2 sets of the same autoresponder messages. Obviously not good!

So my question was, if there was a way to place the same opt in form on my 2nd OTO but be able to redirect to a different download page then they would be on 1 list recieving 1 set of emails.

Hope this all made sense.

I am pretty sure you can build 2 forms in Aweber for the same campaign. Just make the redirect different in each form and use on appropriate pages.

Thats how I'd do it in Getresponse.

    Not really.

Why couldn't you just create two different forms?

      Not really.

Why couldn't you just create two different forms? because if someone buys both oto's then theyll be on 2 lists recieving 2 sets of the exact same AR messages. if it was the same opt in forrm on both pages, they would just be on the 1 buyer list (exept both forms go to different download links)

You misunderstood it. One list can have many, many forms. I did do it on aweber: for example, for different giveaway events I created NOT a new list, just a new form for the same list.

Yes you can make as many forms as you like but you can also just change out the code here's what to look for -

            <input type="hidden" name="unit" value="yourlistnamegoeshere">
            <input type="hidden" name="redirect" value="yoururlgoeshere.com"
            <input type="hidden" name="meta_redirect_onlist" value="yoururlgoeshere.com">

I always create custom forms outside of aweber and it's easier to change out the 3 snippets of code.

            hope this helps

The reason I am against this solution (and it's nothing personal) that by creating several different forms for the same list you have the possibility to track it:
              - # of displays for each form
              - # of sing ups (submissions) for each form
              - S/D ratio... which is actually your conversion rate
              etc.

and in this way you can tell exactly how effective that squeeze page or campaign was/is.

I totally agree with you- however I don't really like the forms aweber gives and prefer custom coded forms and it's a pain to create multiple forms then go back and make customized adjustments to each form.

As far as testing - I'm using Google Website Optimizer to test my landing pages anyway.

Yes it can be done if you know what to look for in the
aWeber form code. You can manually edit the redirect
    url for each form.

The really easy way is to use a download management
or membership script that allows for a squeeze page
plus multiple OTO/upsell/downsell pages. I know that
Robert Puddys Login Frequency Marketing script will do
what you need and is easily integrated with AWeber. I
think DownloadGuard offers similar, albeit less flexible,
    functionality.

so they would be on the same list? i might try editing the aweber code like you said. it cant be to difficult, there must be a part saying "redirect" somewhere.

Perhaps next time you should use a more targeted title to yield better results.
