Hello.
I am a programmer and made a website portal on the female subject in Russia (akinto.me) now its attendance of about 500 people a day. Does it make sense to make the same site in english? In the Russian language internet a lot of articles which can be translated and pasted on the site.

Second question:
Maybe sell the engine of the site and, if so, how much it will cost about and where can I sell?

Thank you.

  • sure make it in english. I dont do mega sites but I would think it would be easier to manage than a whole bunch of small ones. I can hardly keep track of mine. I sometimes forget they exist until someone phones me up asking about my offer. I put it all on spreadsheets but still...

I suggest concentrating on the russian site first.

With 500 visitors per day, you should be getting a good amount of conversions.

    Cheers,

Stick with building the Russian site, if you hit a plateau then go for an English version. There is no guarantee that you will have the same results.

Build some income first before you sell it...then duplicate the process in the english version.

You cant sell very much if your USP is just 500 visitors a month. You must make at least $50 a month to justify someone paying $1k or more for it.

I would give it a shot! If it is working in Russia it may also work in the USA and then you have twice the money!

If your site contains multiple languages you can able to get many visitors and quickly your site will get promoted in google. So try to have 2 to 3 languages in your site.

  • For now I would keep building up the Russian site, so it may be easier just to include a translate button on your site. Google has one you just copy and paste into your code.

Once you get everything flowing smoothly, I would add a button near the top that says "Russian/English" and the visitor clicks on his choice. This is assuming, of course, that the content is still the same.
