Follow up to Amazon url issue

My original thread has been closed but now a few days have passed I wanted to put up a little 'what happened next' post, by way of thank you for all the good advice.

Amazon sent an email explanation of how godaddy's domain transfer process worked, that was a great help, and I went ahead and made the transfer of the offending url over to amazon.
I emailed them back to confirm this and offered yet again that they could pay the $10 if they wanted but I was entirely Ok if they didn't want to, there's only 8 months to go until expirey anyway.
In the end amazon went ahead and paid the $10 via PP, and it was all over, and they emailed to confirm that my account was reinstated.

The striking element of all this, with the exception of the first C&D email, after my reply that I was happy to comply, their emails to me became increasingly polite and courteous, right down the very last one. I suppose I've become a little immune to the hostile 'like it or lump it' emails that ebay used to generate, so this was all very pleasant surprise.
Thanks everybody for all your good advice and comments, a happy ending. BR **
