Can you link to amazon straight from artices?...I've seen quite a few articles that have done this, they must be getting a lot more sales.

These articles were on Ezine and Articebase.

Do you mean from the resource box?

    EzineArticles.com Editorial Guidelines: (AFFILIATE PROGRAMS):

Affiliate links will be allowed if the link is a domain name you own which forward/redirects to the affiliate link from the top-level of the domain name.

It should be alright I guess as long as the article is relevant to the product you're promoting.

      • Yea I think you will have to redirect them to your site first.

@TBInternetMarketing: No, i mean redirect traffic straight from my domain to amazon. There is no "site". Just a domain redirect.

I've seen other articles that have done this and they seem to be approved and ranking well.

Yes, you can do this. The redirect must be a top level domain, e.g. www .example.com. The easiest way is to go to your domain registrar and set up a redirect to amazon from within your account.

As mentioned, don't use a trademark in your domain.

You don't even need a domain. Just hyperlink some anchor text with your affiliate link from Amazon. For example if your product is about "Kindle Reviews," just hypertext the words "Kindle Reviews" in the description of your resource box of the article.

Using Amazon trademarks (such as Kindle) in your domain is against their terms, so kindlereviews.com would not work. EbookReaderReviews.com would be fine.

to my knowledge (which could be wrong) you need to link to a page on your site which promotes a product. I remember somebody saying you could 301 redirect from your page to the affiliate site but i'm not sure if this is wrong or not.
