Kindle Counting Software

Hi Guys,

Because I have quite a few books up on the Kindle dashboard now, it's becoming a hassle counting my sales every day.

Amazon just gives you the number of sales per title.

For example...you can have 100 titles on your bookshelf.

And then after two weeks or so, you've sold 67 titles.

Different amounts for each title.

Let's say one title sells 3 copies. Another sells 9 copies, etc, etc.

Now if you want to count total sales so that you can average them out or whatever, you have to count them.

Manually.

It's boring, you can make mistakes, and it's just plain, old ol' skool.

I know there is a software out there that can make this counting job easier.

Any ideas, guys?

I don't bother counting and just wait to see how much I make but I can understand why you would want this if you like checking your stats.

It all depends on what Amazon provides to allow you to extract the data.

So far, I've not found anything that allows me to see the specifics (programatically), but then I don't currently have enough titles to be able to tell very much.

Perhaps the "big guys" with tons of sales have access to additional reporting????? I'd hope so, and endeavor to build enough sales to get to that level...

You might be on to an idea for a new product. Hmmmm. Check around to see if there would be a market for a piece of software that could add up sales or create some kind of detailed report from the data. I sell a lot of books on Amazon and I know exactly what you're talking about. It's a hassle to add up the totals.

Because of the Kindle bug going around now, I'm sure there are a lot of sellers on here now who've got quiet a few books put up...

        or currently working on them.

so yeah...I think the market is ripe...
