any one know what this means

what do we have to change on our websites if anything?

  • Unfortunately, we're still waiting to see. We have had a few discussions about it here, but no one really knows exactly how it will affect us yet, if at all.

    Back to the original topic... This seems to only affect Europe, won't bother us here in North America and from what I gather, as long as you have a privacy policy, you have nothing to worry about. The same policy that Google wants for their AdSense publishers (DART Cookie).

    I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to tell your visitors that they are being cookied in a more conspicuous (did I spell that right?) manner.

    IE: This website does place a cookie on your web browser, don't worry it doesn't harm you whatsoever, it is just there to keep track of our visitors so we can offer better services for you!

    That's what I can understand anyways...
