For ALL the Newbies...

I wanted to introduce myself. I am a semi-Newbie on this forum and to IM, as well. I know that many eyes are going to be looking at this page, but I wanted to reach out the newbies specifically.

I first found this site about a year ago. Spent a good amount of time dwelling in its inner depths--and learning every step of the way. I went away for awhile and came back and saw that the whole thing had changed! (Changed for the better, too!)

So here is what I am proposing. I would love to develop a network of friends on Facebook who are internet marketers. I was able to reach out to some of the ol' standbys and they graciously added me, but I still have some minor trepidation in approaching them with idiotic questions. For some reason, I don't have that same fear when these statements or questions are site-wide.

I often think that Newbies can be each others best resources--in talking about what works and in talking about what doesn't work. I think that this site offers so many incredibly supportive people, so really all are welcome to join this group. But sometimes it is easier being supported by people who are in the trenches, too.

So...find me on facebook and let's be friends. My goal for Facebook friends is 500. I would LOVE to meet that goal. My goal for December 2009 is to have a month full of $300 days.

Oh, by the way...in addition to being "Warrior Mike," I also go by the name of Mike Thompson. I live in LA. If you still can't find me, send me a PM and I will send you the direct facebook link.

I look forward to meeting you!

Mike, welcome to the forum but no offense, we don't make self promotional
      posts here.

      Just an FYI.

          Thanks for the replies.

Steve: I really have gleaned a ton of information from your posts already. I always look forward to your insights and thoughts. I did not think that my post was self-promotional. I thought it was inspirational. (Granted, I was trying to get a circle of friends on Facebook...but, I didn't think that was self-promo.) Thanks for the heads up in the future.

This is why this forum really does rock. In any other space on the web--ANY OTHER SPACE--people would have sliced me and cut me. But here, it is just a friendly little nudge. "This is how we do things...think about doing it this way next time."

Thanks, guys. I really do look forward to being an active member of this forum.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their Holiday season. Off to Mass and dinner. I hope everyone has an incredibly safe couple of days.

Great attitude when given advice like this. Some would have lashed out and made a fool of themselves.

Finally a civilized forum. I've been in some forums where someone make a mistake being new and all you see is how stupid this #@&* must be.

Thanks Steven for being understanding and human to others thoughts.

Sounds like an awesome idea Mike. I will try and find you on Facebook even though I am not a newbie.
