Just curious...

Does anyone use paydotcom to promote products or as a vendor?

It looks kind of trashy to me, and searching through the results, it appears that they let just about anyone promote products on there. Just wanted some other opinions before promoting launching a new product.

If I am correct paydotcom lets you host first product free but if you have more than one you need to pay at $29 one time fee - then there is a fee on every sale, around $3.

From a sellers point of view I prefer E-junkie. (from $5 per month all inclusive)

I used E-junkie when I started as it is a newbie freindly way to sell products and it allows you to recruit affiliates. Nowadays though I use the DLGuard script.

I recently had three products on PayDotCom but I moved them all to Mike Cowles new system Simple One Click

The problem with PDC is you must pay your affiliates yourself. Although I did like the email option you had from their interface (could send emails to affiliates).

However with Simple One Click the setup is free and they currently only take a 4% fee from the transaction and this is across the board. I like it and I like the fact that it also automatically turns the customer into an affiliate.

PayDotCom needs to update to keep up with the modern world in my opinion.

      Exactly so.

And to look at that from the affiliates' perspective, obviously enough, the problem with PDC is that we're dependent on the vendor for payment ... maybe only serious affiliates mind that, or something? ... but that does make it very difficult to understand why vendors would use it in preference to Clickbank.

I see ... I wasn't aware of these niceties ... but still, even if PDC were to adopt them, unless one's a vendor with a very well-established reputation for prompt, reliable payments, it would still perhaps be hard to attract professional affiliates there?
