How to Make a Video Sales Letter

I understand a video sales letter is really just a power point presentation with a voice over using camtasia, but all the video sales letters look exactly the same.

Are all these people using video sales letters using the same template? Is someone selling video sales letter templates or what?

Please let me know.

    I think it's more "monkey see, monkey do."

    Seriously, though... it's a bunch of typed copy. How would
    you make it look different without distracting the viewer from
    the message?

      I'm guessing JJ13 meant that all the sales pages have the same format and look alike.

      Very much monkey see, monkey do.

      Then again, if it works, why change it?

        Why not be different?

        I don't know what you want to sell but....let's say you're selling a "Way To Do Something". Rather than using Power Point Plates with Voice-Over...
        Combine "LIVE" Video with "Text" by using a WebCam with you in front of webcam and standing in front of a Chalk Board where you write down your key Sales Points.

        A Video with YOU in it....provides "Confidence and Trust"....because they see YOU. And if you are a "decent-looking" person ....explaining what it is you're selling...WITH PASSION....your audience can sense your passion and there's WAY MORE "Believability" in watching YOU speak....than looking at a bunch of printed plates on their pc screen.

        Works for me.

          There are several ways.

          1. Grab a webcam. People trust faces more than text. Make sure you have decent audio.

          2. Hire a third party video producer to create a quality video. I only recommend this if you are in it for the long term, over time the video pays for itself.

          3. Learn a few tricks in your favorite editor, get some different fonts and images and try something new.

          You will find a lot of the top vendors and people using these videos sales letters have tested a number of different formats and have found this plain old boring format to work best. If it ain't busted...

            Thanks for the replies.

            I've thought of just doing a video of me speaking, but I was just curious where all of these people get the format for their videos from?

            All the videos look the same. Did they buy some template from someone or what?

            I'm asking because I;m looking to sell my weight loss course. I own WeightLossSecret(dot)com and I already created my weight loss course.

            Now I'm just looking into the best way to market the course and it seems using a video sales letter is best.

            I just want to know where to get a template for a similar looking video sales letter that all these people are using.
