I am need an IM mentor to look at what I have accomplished, critique it, and help me move forward. I don't want a mastermind group or another course? What would you advise? i am in the personal development niche.

Is the site in your signature what you've been working on? I could give some critiques of it, and some others as well.

I will say, I would not buy any course or anything, you are correct there.

Not sure I could help you with your website, but looking through those 14 points on your homepage, i can answer "yes" to about ten of them. That's quite worrying

    Hello!

One big word of warning. Be very careful before taking on a mentor. Check his background, look at his websites, check how many posts and threads he has on warrior forum and whether he is an established member of the WF community. If he has not got these credentials, run away fast!

You don't need a mentor. You just need to "Know How" and this comes from being active in forums like this one. Let the information come to you instead you going to it because for the most part in all my years in IM I've find greater quality in them then if I was to find a mentor. A mentor just wants one thing ... your money. He/she can tell you everything you want to know but at the same time you can get the same information here at WF without paying for it.

But on the other hand, for IM if you have a deep pocket and need some top experts like Rich Schefren, Willie Crawford, Jay Abraham, Stephen Peirce and the likes then I'd say go for it. These are people who have already proven themselves to know what they're doing and not some wannbe who simply copy/paste words from someones website and ask to get paid. For personal development niche, I'm not too familiar with it except for one person.

So where do you start?. Well since you're in the personal development niche then I'd start by watching free personal development videos on Youtube which you've probably done and see who is who. My favorite is Tony Robbins. You want to find the best in your niche and you can do so by going over to Amazon.com and searching for the best seller in personal development. Get their name and do a search on YT or other video channels out there.

And last but never the least, you can head over to Mind Warriors - Success, Power, Self-Improvement and see what our WF members have to offer.

Until then have a great day.

I haven't worked with a mentor, so I would say check out this person. Check the Better Business Bureau for complaints. Google the person's name and ad the word "complaints". So if the mentor is named Jake Williams, type "Jake Williams complaints" in Google or Ixquick to see what you find out. Another good website is Ripoff Report.

Develop a proper business plan: you are a professional offering a service and have specific skills which you want to market. You don't really need a "Make Money Online Coach". Find a company / person that specialises in marketing for people in your field. You can then develop free content for lead generation and start a newsletter. Your website does not sell you that well. Pay a professional and concentrate on your professional skills.

Thank you for the helpful advice. Maybe finding an honest mentor is a not so eay. I think I will proceed ahead and use the warrior forum for specific advice. My new personal development site is what I need help with so I think i will post a new thread. (For whatever it is worth, the website I have listed is for patients to see after they are referred to me).Thank you to Always A Warrior for your specific suggestions. I am open to any other advice out there about proceeding forward.

The Warrior Forum is a great place to look for a mentor. But just make sure when you find someone that they can actually help you, not someone that will end convincing you to buy something through their link. Good luck.

  • I paid 7 K (about double now) for my first mentor made almost 200% within the first 30 days with him. I found that guy at a local meeting in my town and it was by asking people there who they used at their mentor. I would try something like that the cool thing about doing it in person you can buy them a drink and see how you click this guy was fantastic and was the real deal! He changed my life!

    Good luck!

You spent a LOT of money - you are very lucky it didn't end up in tears. Perhaps meeting someone face to face helped to assess him better. Unfortunately many online fraudsters take on fake personalities, don't deliver anything good and are just in it for themselves!

Many people search for a mentor because they think that they will be able to tell them the "big secret". While a lot of them do make money and know what they're doing, there are just as many of those people on this forum. As many people have probably told you already, there is no magic bullet. Keep working, asking and learning as you go and you will make it.

Being mentored will definitely take your business to the next level. The most successful marketers have a team of mentors and the fastest success stories online were achieved with the help of the right mentors.

You don't need to hire Frank Kern, though! :p
Anyone that has already achieved what you want to achieve could be your mentor. But you need to ensure that you can communicate superbly with him or her. Otherwise, you will both lose your time (and you will also lose your money!)

The Warrior Forum is a good place to look for a mentor. Contact marketers who are experts on the field you want to excel at and make sure that they are patient and just love answering questions!
An extensive interview would save you both a great deal of trouble...

          I hope it helps!

P.S. Did you know that having a mentor can actually make product creation a piece of cake?
