PLR articles are articles you can use on your website or in your product. Normally you can do whatever you want with PLR articles outside of selling them as PLR.

There are many ways you can use PLR including posting it as is on your website, but there are much more beneficial ways to use PLR.

    • You can rewrite it in your own words, add your own flavor, and put your own keywords in the article.
    • You can compile a couple of articles into a report to give to your list.
    • You can take bits and pieces from several articles to make a new article.
    • You can get a bunch of PLR articles to put together an ebook.
    • You can use PLR articles to create an autoresponder series.

Honestly, there are tons of great ways to use PLR articles for your website.

When you buy PLR, you're not buying unique content. The reason it's so much cheaper than hiring a ghostwriter is because the seller has the right to sell it to multiple buyers, but you still usually get the rights to edit it and put your name on it (it's important to check the exact rights you get with it before you buy).

Personally, I see PLR as a starting point for content. Sometimes I post it as-is - I don't worry about duplicate content penalty as that only applies if you have the same content within your own site. But then again I do like to either rewrite it, change it a little or at least combine it with unique articles on my sites to get the best of both worlds.

PLR is basically there to save time and money. If you can't afford unique content every time then it only takes a few minutes to change it up a little, add your own voice etc. And you can see from the above that there are so many different ways to use it.

Personally, my favourite use is for email ecourses as it lets you load up follow up messages really fast. I add a few personal greeting sentences but other than that I leave it as-is - that kind of content isn't even seen by the search engines anyway. I also use it for blog posts and reports etc.

    Hope that helps.
    ~Ruth

PLR is a great time saver not to mention that you can get a quality article for $1. Right now, I use PLR to quickly put together short or long reports and email messages.

PLR is a great way to get new content that you can do several things with. The most common use is probably content for blogs and niche sites. It's important that you rewrite the PLR because many people will have the exact same articles. The plus of using PLR is that it gives you content you can quickly rewrite rather than having to go out and research to write your own articles.

I think they have their place, but won't replace your own writing or hiring a writer.
It can make a big difference if you change up the content as much as possible and if selling as an ebook, invest in a new classy cover.
