working with a writer...ezine articles

Hallo guys.
I would like to address this question to the general public, although it can be better answered by people who actually do article writing.

I outsource article writing to a specific writer and because i want to use his articles for Ezine articles I suggested that I will use his profile and publish them myself.

The reason i want to do this is to have some sort of expert credibility for these articles (and this writer is a professional offline in the written subject)
and a whole different profile from the rest I'm running.

Is that a legit routine and is there any marketer who did something similar to this?
I actually got his approval for this, question is whether I should own his profile or should he?

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers....

I don't think that it is illegal to do but eventually you need to build your own reputation as the "go-to" person for your niche. You don't have to write the articles for your own profile either. For example, I write articles for a couple of people that I would post on ezine for them, but in their own profiles.

If your writer is using keywords correctly your articles should possible get ranked even if on a new profile.

I've had a couple of clients that I've published articles for on my own profile. I don't have an issue with it. If you want to be an expert in the niche then you will want to have them published under you own profile. If they are written well, there should be no issue.

    He.

EZA's terms of service/policies and procedures (often to be found on their blog, rather than on the main part of their site, unfortunately) will interest you here, I think.

However, this raises potential problems for you. Under no circumstances would I advise you to get yourself into a position where your articles, which you've bought and paid for, containing your backlinks, are under a profile which you can't yourself access. But you need to find an alternative way of doing this without yourself having more than one EZA account (terms of service - and risks involved). I suggest perhaps a pen-name within your own EZA account? Don't try to operate two different accounts from one IP address.

When I was writing articles for others, a couple of years ago, I did offer (if clients absolutely insisted) to submit them to EZA in a pen-name inside my account, but I advised them against it. Similarly, under no circumstances would I have been willing to access their author account from my computer. People do get found out for this, sometimes, and all the accounts involved can get closed (at the very least, pending a detailed discussion and explanation to EZA, which is in itself a situation to be avoided). Be careful.

I would publish the articles on your own profile. That way, it the current agreement is ever stopped, you still have full access to the content.

Absolutely... After all, as soon as you pay for the content, you own the rights to it. The last thing you want is someone else having full control over it (which they will if you're having your articles published under another account)

Why not just publish them on your own account and build up your own expertise? To me, that seems like a much better idea than trying to piggy-back off of someone else. Sure, it may take longer than just riding the wave of someone else's good reputation, but in the long run, it will benefit you much more.

    Eduardo2,

In my opinion, based on what you stated, if they are relevant, keyword focused articles, and the author is not publishing them anywhere else, then simply post them on your own keyword optimized, relative blog. Article sites do not carry the same weight as they used to in the search engines. The tide has shifted. Develop your own site. Grow it, nurture it, give the search engines the "relevance" they desire and you will be rewarded. Just my opinion, based on trial and error. Either way.... Good Luck!
