To all you Amazon marketers out there!

Hi folks

Just embarked on becoming an Amazon seller and I have a question for all you seasoned pros out there!

I've been tinkering with an astore but am concerned about the quality of the content. After all the reviews will be the same as on Amazon's. I was wondering if any of you have had any success with this or is it a better approach to select some products manually and write your own unique reviews.

I know that unique content is king but the astore seems so convenient. My idea was to have an astore running in a wordpress blog along with some article content as well (but separate). Does anyone have any success with astores?

Must admit I'm not all that great with coding and am having trouble getting the astore to fit my theme!

Finally, any free themes that work well with Amazon sites that you can recommend? At the moment I'm using Flexibility 3 but the astore doesn't look great on it.

Thanks
YC

While I have never been able to make an astore work on its own, I have met a few people online who do make some money with them.

These folks all run fairly large, niche-based authority sites and the astore is more of a convenience for the visitors than a serious business model. They certainly don't rely on SE traffic, or even seriously pursue it for the astore.

They just link to things they mention in other content - books, CDs, DVDs, Kindle and other digital downloads, related physical goods, etc.

I run an astore on one of my sites for one page and it does fairly well, but it was one of the first Amazon sites I made

I have found (from Christ Guthries advice) that almost everything Amazon tells you to do does not convert very well.

From testing the best conversion is from in text links and linking the images with affiliate links.

Just write about the product you want to sell and link words with the affiliate link.

When I first got into Amazon, I thought that aStores were the way to go but then after much testing I've found that writing good product reviews with unique content and text links converted much MUCH better!

As for themes, surprisingly, the simplest 2 column themes work the best!

IF u tell me a bit about problems you face in astore, I can develop a product on it

      Thanks peeps .

I've decided that the reviews method is the way to go. At the end of the day an astore is nothing more than Amazon but in a different place. I'll hand select some products that get decent reviews and then write my own reviews and comments.
