Because even though I'm making some money affiliate marketing, I want to run a business as opposed to a bunch of websites that I update and work on at random.

I want to be able to look at a business plan and know where the gaps are in my business, where the work needs to emphasised and where and when to reinvest money into my business with a strategy and purpose.

And I want to be mega successful and that rarely happens without a plan!

...I can grovel if you need me to Bev!

...Plus, I got a cute 6 year old!

...Plus, I'm a fellow writer published offline: tv, novel, stage, radio etc...

All kidding aside. Folks, Bev knows her stuff so if I were you, I'd get on my
hands and knees and grovel, beg, plead, and offer up your first born.

It just might mean the difference between 5 figures and 6 figures a year.

I need a good business plan because I can not seem to focus on the big picture but keep running off at all the "little pictures!"
I have tried to make a plan, but it did not work. (Or was that just me
I tried to determine my objectives, and my financial goals, but it seems hard to keep on track. So , I think everyone including me needs a good businesss plan, but more importantly, they need the RIGHT business plan. It would be great to win this, as Bev is pretty well the top when it comes to this sort of thing. And I bet she knows the right plan.

  • Well, I am brand new to affiliate marketing. Rather than just read and dream, I have actually taken measures to get my business up and running.

Now I have 5 sites, 4 blogs, and unique content on all of them. In addition, I have done social bookmarking on all posts, submitted feeds, wrote 23 articles for EZA, and pinged the live ones.

I say all that to say, I am new (2 weeks) into affiliate marketing, but I am taking action on what I read. Other than the random posts and WSO's I read, I dont know how to plan, nor what to plan for.

I am taking action, but I need direction. A business plan would be a great gift to keep me on track in 2009 - and yo keep me from giving up too soon.

    Thanks

Why should i have a plan written out for me?

Well i started up on this forum about 5 or 6 months ago have worked my A$$ off but still no more then 1-5 dollars a day. I mean i did once have a 45 dollar day but that was a fluke. I am a senior in high school right now and am in the process of applying to colleges. I would really like to have 5,000 dollars by next August / September so i have some spending money in college.

I have tried affiliate marketing written dozens of articles but still only 5 sales over the last 6 months. Right now i am making most of my money off of google adsense but i really dont think its going to make me 5,000 by next September.

Also it would be really cool to show my parents that im making some decent money online.

      Thanks Bev for the opportunity,

I never felt like I really needed to succeed at this before. But now that I've started a family I am really motivated and want to build up a great income before our family grows any bigger.

  • Just in case you think a business plan is a useless exercise in imagining you're going to be successful, you're wrong!

I was one of Bev's original "guinea pigs" in her IM business planning experiment, back in 2007. While I wasn't the most quickly, insanely profitable of her original group, I did become independently self-employed.

Today is my two year anniversary on the Warrior forum. I can tell you that the first four months here were tough, since I didn't have a plan. I made a point of saying, publicly, that I didn't want a mentor or freebies from anyone. That's when Bev began her IM business planning case study.

I ended up getting both, despite my protestations. Six months after coming here for the first time, I had replaced the income I lost when my part-time job ended. Shortly after that, I realized I'd never have to go to work for somebody else ever again, unless I wanted to.

Here's a hint on how to sell yourself to Bev -- show her that you've done whatever work you've needed to do up until now. Then show her you're willing to face the unpleasant chore of identifying your weaknesses and strengths, in detail.

A solid business plan is worth a fortune. Don't dismiss the value of what Bev is offering just because it's free!

    Hey There Bev

First and foremost thanks so much for offering this fantastic opportunity for all of the Warriors. (I've been away for a while and it is nice to come back and still see you here doing your best to help others succeed.)

I would be eternally grateful if you could me compose a business plan. I have found myself contantly pouring effort into this online world. I find I lack distinct direction. I know what I need to do, I just can't seem to put together a plan to get it done.

Why do I stand out from the crowd though... hmmm.....

    1. I'm Australian (doesn't that make me special)
    2. I think you're amazing (had to get some grovelling in there somewhere)
    3. My entire business "idea" involves helping others (much like you)
    4. A business plane would finally help me get some income from this business
    5. Did I mention I think you're amazing? (just wanted to make sure you know)

Also and more importantly to me than anything else above - I can assure you that I will follow the business plan. I am in the Navy here and I have 2 years of training before I have to go to sea. (usually for 2-3 years at a time). If I can't get a significant online business income happening (so I can quit the Navy) before then, my little boy will hardly get to see me.

I also know that there are many others out there in the same or simmilar situations to me, and once established - I would invest every spare moment that I have helping others to break free of their own "rat race" existances and enjoy their lives with their families.

Thanks again for this great offer

    Dave

    P.S. Did I mention that I think you're amazing... because I do - I really do.

    Hi Bev,

Though I am not in the position to purchase a plan from you currently, the accolades here convince me I should consider it.

Bev, Please write me a business plan. I know I am well on my way to making an excellent living online, mostly because I have worked hard to build great relationships with real movers and shakers online.

However, I am not nearly as productive as I could be. I know I don't know what I don't know. With or without a business plan I know I will get somewhere within range of where I am going, but I need your help.

I don't have a choice but to succeed. I have too many people depending on me for it to go any other way, and the spirit within me is indomitable. Like the bull in the china shop I will get it done, however it may not be pretty

It would be the greatest Christmas gift ever to welcome home a business plan from you,

Thank You for offering a shot at one,

    Chris Endres

P.S. I spent my Christmas Eve penning out a 13 point bullet list of projects in development. Some of it is mine and some is projects for others.

P.P.S. Do you allow others to promote your service?

    Merry Christmas Warriors.

    Thanks for the offer Bev.

I would love to have a business plan written to help me focus on 1 thing and get established in that area before jumping into another niche or opportunity.

This last year, I have been all over the map and inspite of working really hard, at the end of the year when I sit down to review my progress, I have nothing substantial to show for it other than a bunch of web properties in different niches, which is only diluting my efforts.

Without a plan, I'm just not getting anywhere.

    To give an idea:
    I'm involved in niches from dogs,yeast problems,diabetes, forex,seo,cruise,transcription,local restaurants,cars etc.

I realize trying to be involved in all these specialized niches takes a whole lot of time and in the process, I'm not getting anywhere fast.

On a typical Monday, I start of sourcing a bunch of articles in the forex niche.for this, I do the keyword research, write down titles that might convert, research some related sites and then finally send off the reqs to my writer.
Log into adsense, check what I have made. Feel upbeat or down depending on the figure that stares back at me :-)
Log into clickbank, check if any sales have been made.
Log into aweber, check the stats.
log into a bunch of different email id's, set for each niche or opportunity.

Check if any of my pages have improved their SERP rankings.

ooh..get a fantastic idea in a totally different niche from forex...like dog training and then try to implement that idea, post, promotion, add a keyword etc.

Read the forums. Inevitably, there is a post where someone explains something which I have not tried. Go and try that technique. Again wasted time and focus.Since I would like to know if that technique works/backfires, I would test it on a totally different niche ..like credit repair!!

go check the adwords account. If no CB sales have been recorded and a bunch of money has been spent on a campaign, go ahead and pause the campaign.

The day is about to end. Phew!! Was a hectic day, did a bunch of work.Go to bed around 1am, to get set for the day job starting @8am.

    Next day, the cycle repeats.

Login into clickbank..maybe find a sale. yay..now scoot back to adwords and restart the campaign which was suspended yesterday.

The rest pretty much remains the same.

Just writing this down has been a help.

I can clearly see what I need to do.But, almost always, I can clearly see what needs to be done, till...the next product/wso comes out touting something which works like magic. I promise myself, I'll just try the method quickly and then get back to focus on my present niche/campaign/opportunity...but one thing leads to another and before I know it, another day has passed.

I need a plan. If I get chosen or not, I think I'll devote this long weekend to writing down where I would like to be and how I want to get there.

To 2009 - The year of FOCUS.

Chris yes I will be having an affiliate program for it.

Congratulations Vince on your 2nd anniversary.

What Vince is trying to say, I nagged him into becoming a guinea pig which this isn't about. He had to write his own business plan, after working through some tough lessons.

Leanne it's a lot tougher than people understand isn't it.

Let me leave you with these thoughts.

My background is in Accountancy. I wrote business plans as part of my job, these were not the simple plans we see talked about here. These were business plans you could give to an Angel Investor, your bank, or other people who you want to invest in your business.

I have helped a number of warriors here with their business plan, Vince, Steven Wagenheim have both commented here about it. Others who you would know who earn 6 figures.

Before anyone gets confused, this has nothing to do with ghostwriting. If you're a writer then fine, but a business plan is for all businesses.

If you're wondering the value of this, offline you would have been looking at £2,000 + yes I'm British and we charged in £'s not $.

You want me to do this for you and you want to pay me then it will cost you $997, so we are not talking a cheap service here.

Round 2 will be posted on Saturday, you need to read it to be in for the final decision.

For those wondering what the real value of a business plan is, let me give
you my 2 cents on the subject as to what the importance of one is to me.

This may not necessarily apply to everybody.

To me the importance of a business plan is the following:

      1. It forces you to focus on a direct path to follow to achieve a specific goal.

      2. It provides you with a clear visual of your projected expenses and income.

      3. It provides you with a broad overview of each component of your business,
so that you can easily track where you are with it.

      4. It allows you to see where some of your ideas may not be panning out
as well as others so that, in looking at the overall picture, you can make
pinpoint modifications with groping on the dark and without screwing up
      something that is working.

      5. It allows you to map out a wide and/or deep product or service line
and coordinate everything so that the one seamlessly blends into the
      other.

If a lot of this sounds cryptic, it's because this is actually easier to
illustrate with a chart. I actually have one that shows all my modules,
what they are, what they connect to, how the relate to the overall
picture, where the income is coming from, where the expenses are going
      and so on.

This is why I can come here and say things like X% of my income comes
      from Y source.

With a business plan, you become a total fanatic on tracking things.

Plus, and this may be the most important thing of all, it forces you to look
years ahead. My current business plan is forecast into 2010. When I see
how 2009 goes (already completely mapped out) I will know where I will
      be going in 2011.

Naturally things happen and markets change, and sometimes you have to
make adjustments. A business plan makes it easier to make those
adjustments because you always see what you're doing and what it's
      bringing you.

By doing this, I was able to save myself $200 a month in wasted expenses
starting this December. I will now be planning on how to replace that
expense with a more profitable way of spending it. This will be adapted
into my existing business plan to improve it...not to change it.

Business planning, believe it or not, is fun, especially when you come up
with a clearly defined goal and direction. You can almost predict how much
money you're going to make. Last month, looking at my business plan,
which included my plans for December of this year, I estimated that I'd
not only have my best month ever, I'd come close to 20K for the month.

      How close am I?

      I am currently at $18,594.22

Considering that my best month ever prior to this was just under $15,000,
that's not far off from my prediction...and I still have a week left to hit
      my goal.

Believe me when I say this...not having a business plan is a recipe for not
      having the most profitable business.

Before I had one I was making $50,000 a year.

This year, I already broke $150,000.

So you tell me if a business plan makes a difference or not.

Bev, if I haven't already said this, this is very generous of you.

I hope the person who gets this gift appreciates it and does something
      with it.

      Merry Christmas.

            Hi Bev,

I would love to be considered for the recipient of your business plan.

I've been around IM for a number of years, here on the forum for a couple. During this time, I've both learned a lot, and made a ton of typical 'newbie' mistakes - buying tons of stuff that, without a plan in place on how, when, or if to use them, became little more than ornaments on the shelf known as my hard drive.

But I've learned a lot of good things, too. I think I have a pretty good sense of the many pieces involved, and of some of the many business models that can work (affiliate marketing, product creation, article marketing, blogging, etc.) as well as the various traffic generation strategies (PPC, social bookmarking, article writing, etc.).

I am fortunate enough to have an array of technical skills that I believe will facilitate my ability to move forward - I've set up a number of WordPress blogs, installed and managed a vBulletin-based forum, am fairly adept at HTML, hex code, etc. Thus, many of the technical issues that would be a stumbling block for some new IMers would not be an obstacle for me.

Yet, like so many, I've dabbled in this and that, jumped from one thing to another, and suffered the frustration of not moving forward as I'd hoped - all of which, of course, comes from not having a plan. A business plan would provide me with the foundation I need to begin to take directed, focused action rather than the random actions that have not helped me along.

What I need to do is to map out my journey, not just jump in the car and drive around till I stumble upon something. Your business plan would be the mapping out I'm looking for.

Recently I came across a report that has reshaped my thinking with respect to HOW I embrace the business that I develop, and that is this: that I want my business to be CUSTOMER-focused, not focused on 'how can I make money' and 'what can I sell to make money'. Rather, the questions would be 'how can I help these people find what they're looking for' and 'what can I do to facilitate their (success, achievement, whatever)'.

So I want to be OTHER-centered rather than I-centered. Yes, we all want to make money at this, but in focusing on the customer, I think I will get that and a lot more - the reward of satisfaction in helping others.

This means that I would see my business plan be not about me me me, but about them them them. That is my hope.

I've recently completed Kevin Riley's product creation course, and I am very close to completing my first ebook. I hope that it will be one of a series of many. But while I have a little bit of the 'carriage' now, I need to get the horse in front of the carriage. And while I see product creation as an important aspect to my business plan, I have other, perhaps more ambitious aspirations as well.

So in a nutshell, those are the reasons that I think I could benefit from the gift of your business plan development. The one thing I'd like to add is that, in appreciation of your generosity, I would commit to 'paying it forward' in some manner. I don't yet know when that would be or what it would look like but that would be my commitment. I think over time it would become clear.

Good luck in your selection process. There are some wonderful warriors here, and whomever is chosen will be worthy of your choice, I am sure.

Merry Christmas, Bev - and Happy Holidays to all warriors.

Can you teach an old dog new tricks?

I am an old warrior and I know a business plan is the trick I need.

If you help me with a business plan I will put it into action and report my business success with everyone so they copy me and be successful with me. It is never to late right?

With a little help 2009 will be my year.

                Hi Bev -- Merry Christmas,
Thank you for your generous offer of a business plan for
the Warrior you choose. I would love to be that person.

I'm 66 years old (Jan 1) and have been a Warrior since June of
2005. Can you believe that I still do not have a way to make
consistent money online. Social Security is not all its cracked
up to be, so I need to get this IM thing going NOW.

My best IM month was about $300 and since then I seldom get
to that. I know, pathetic. With all of the willing helpers
here and all of the great information it is hard to imagine. It
is probably that I do not have a written plan.

I have the talent to write. I have information on any IM topic
or procedure at my fingertips. I have bookshelves of WSOs, PLR
and Courses I have purchased. My hard drive needs to be purged
to make room for anything more.

I bought the Corey Rudl course when he was still with us (RIP
Corey). I have John Reese's original Traffic Secrets. I do not
lack information, but I might have information overload.

With the assets I have, I am still missing something. ACTION!
BUT, which way to go. I am so confused at times I do nothing.
Nothing is a hard place to move from.

Inertia works whether a person is in motion or a person is at rest.
Would a business plan help me move from inactivity to activity?
A business plan backed by someone who believes in what I can do
                sure would.

I will confess that I am lost. I have the maps, I have the
desire, but I am stuck. I need a plan. Bev, I'd love to work
                with you on that plan.

    Bev,

First, thank you for the kind offer. I hope that the recipient of your generosity will be the type to use it. I'm sure that's the reason you're doing the pre-qualification.

    Now, my story:

I got started in IM in September 2007. I'd just split from my ex-wife and found myself a single father needing to supplement my income. My brother had "discovered" a method of making $60-$80 per day, so he shared it with me.

Unfortunately for me, his "system" is one that is very hands-on. I earn something when I perform certain actions and earn nothing when I don't/cant. Also, due to the level of personal involvement, it's self-limiting. There are only so many hours in a day. Thanks to both of these factors, I suppose it's somewhat like ghostwriting.

As the months passed, I dabbled with more traditional IM, but since I counted more and more on the income from the hands-on system, it became increasingly difficult to give anything else the time or attention that it deserved. Instead I focused on streamlining the system to squeeze more out of it. Because of this focus as well as the economic timing, my consulting business has also faded to almost nothing.

In September I decided that no matter what I was going to move away from this system and begin working on niche sites. Since the system is somewhat cyclical and the income would naturally dip in February/March, my goal was and is to bring my other efforts to the point where they will replace the missing income by March 1 and replace all of it by June 1.

My needs are modest as are my goals, however, I treasure the time that I have to give to my boys and I'm not willing to give that up. I have to make this work no matter what.

My shortcomings have been in part due to my misguided focus on the wrong system. If I had started on the right path and given it as much effort as I've put into what I've been doing, there's no telling where I'd be today.

Also my budget has been incredibly tight. Although I've been able to avoid debt, it would be embarrassing to give full details on all the ways I've had to cut back (no heater or AC when the boys are with their mom, for example). It's been a hardship to invest back into this business. I'm sure I could see much quicker growth with intelligent investment back into the business, but it's been hard for me to look beyond today's needs.

Next, since I had a "sure thing," it has been easy to lose faith in other projects and slide back into the known. Since September I have forced myself to stick with my niche projects (working crazy hours to do both the current system and work on them), and I'm starting to see some encouraging results.

Finally I have a great deal of knowledge concerning all of the pieces of IM. However, since I haven't yet experienced real success, I'm still guessing much of the time on the best places to apply my time and efforts.

I have time, energy, functional knowledge, and need-based-drive. I could use a few gentle nudges to move me in the right direction.

I hope that gives you a good idea of where I am.

Thanks again for the offer. I know you'll see lots of responses and requests for it, and I don't envy your task of choosing only one.

    Have a very merry Christmas!

    -Kelly

    Hi Bev:
I don't grovel and only kiss my wife's fanny. Chances are far to slim to risk success to a lotto. So the ? is..... do you charge $997 for a plan, or what is your current fee. We aren't spring chickens anymore. We're newbies and want to work with our heads and not our backs. (we work together painting garbage trucks all over the S/E United States.) A step-by-step plan of how to get from point a to point z would be a invaluable asset to any fledgling enterprise. And lord knows we need some professional guidance. Anyway enjoy your x-mas day, and if you've got the time let us know.

Well, what can I say.... Mmmmm

I was super interested in this when I ready your thread heading. A Professional Business Plan from someone that knows this industry would be fantastic.

Then I read all the comments. WOW..... Hard to compete with that.

I only joined this forum a very short time ago. I am making the jump from being an IT guy with 20 plus years of experience to working from home so I can support my family.

So many people have great stories and dreams about what they want to accomplish. I am one of those.

I know the value of having a real plan. Of setting goals, measuring your results and making adjustments to your activities to get the results you desire.

I see great value in what you are offering and since you are an established, experience person I am sure that it would be even more valuable.

So, how does one become the winner of a tool that could make a real difference in the outcome you are working toward? I wish I had that answer!

All I can do is stand in line with the rest of the group. Fingers crossed, mind open and let you know that an effective plan designed by a professional would change my life.

That I would use it as a tool to change my existence and that your work would be valued and would help me to reach my goals.

      Hi Bev,

Happy Holidays and thank you for the opportunity for one lucky
      and deserving Warrior.

This coming year is a little different for me and extremely important
that I succeed with my IM business.

I have been a member of the Warrior Forum since 2002 and even
part of the family before the forum was actually a forum. Over
the years I have tried different systems and various techniques
and found some of them work well and some not well at all.

One thing I really didn't have in this time period was a well
defined plan. I just went from one thing to another until something
clicked and rode it out until it stopped working. So far I haven't
found one thing that has worked consistently over the long haul.

I also used IM as a way to gather leads for my offline "day job"
in the mortgage business. My main focus was always the day job
and not fully the IM scene, though I never stop studying and
researching what is going on in the IM world, hoping one day
by IM business would take off and relieve me from my 9-5 job.
I know now that having no game plan in place makes the dream
of working for my self online an uphill battle.

In late August 2007, I walked in to my job one morning and I
was called into the bosses office. Without any advance notice,
my position was eliminated. I worked for one of the largest
mortgage banks in America and they decided to shut down the
      office
and put us on the streets so to speak. This was the start to
the huge mortgage meltdown crisis that is still going on today.

At that time I didn't quite realize that the banking industry
was in a world of hurt beyond my imagination so I took a few
months off and figured I would get back into the mix in the new
year. I also though it would be a great time to focus my full
effort to the IM world again.

When reality started to set in and I realized that all mortgage
companies were in trouble and the housing market was turning
upside down my mind turned to mush and I just couldn't concentrate
on IM or anything for that matter. So again, my lack of having
a dedicated plan forced me back to a "not so good" day job.

This job was still in the mortgage industry, but it was crappy
work at even crappier wages. In November 2008 I took a few days
off to have a reality check on my life. It was then that I made
my choice to stop working for someone else and devote my time
and energy into building my online business. On my calendar
at work I wrote "The End" on December 31st, signifying my last
      day working for "The Man".

Over the last few weeks I have started to organize my thoughts
on paper and my goals for the 2009 (and beyond) year. I have
read a few great tips/reports/guides posted here on the Warrior
form to try and help put a plan in place. I fact, the last 2
days I have been reading the post that you answered: "I would
tell them to start by writing a business plan and to make sure
they have a sustainable business and not just a 5 minute wonder."
(Yes I was going over this during the Holidays).

I am attempting to write my own business plan, however never
doing this before, I am not 100% sure I am doing it right. There
is always a fear that I create a plan and not create it the proper
way and it won't work. I guess one always has to take a chance
in order to succeed, but it is still scary. Especially now that
I have no other choice than to make it. I have no day job to
      pay the bills.

Having an expert in creating business plans on my side would
be a huge benefit and help put my mind at ease and allow me to
put more focus into acting on and executing the plan that is
      created.

      Best wishes and thanks again,

Mery Christmas Bev and all Warriors

I just wanted to comment on the generous offer you are making, what a gift.

I was going to try to sell myself to you for this incredible opportunity by pulling out the newbie card...after reading through these posts I realized something...I am not deserving of this...I haven't put enough time or energy into my business to justify trying to take this opportunity away from someone else who may need it more than I do at the moment.

As someone stated earlier...I don't envy the choice you have to make...there are so many great people in here that are deserving...those that have been working at this far longer than the meager time I have been. My hope is that someday I can make enough to afford your coaching.

I know it hasn't been requested but I would suggest you choose someone that has shown their attempt at IM and just haven't been able to get it going.

Thanks for doing this and congratulations to whomever the lucky winner is.

        Merry Christmas and God Bless

Let me quickly address some of the issues mentioned already.

    1) Round 2 will seperate the men from the boys, or ladies from the girls

    2) The time someone has put into their business is irrelvant, the past is the gone, it is what you will do with it should you get it written.

2 of the most successful people who were part of my original guinea pigs were two people who were new to IM.

Yes, some of what has been posted is making me make initial decisions, but as I said Saturday will see round 2.

Keep an eye out for it, because you don't want to miss it.

Let me give you a teaser here. Round 2 will be the hardest exercise you have ever done, or that's what all the successful people have told me. What they thought would take an hour max, has taken all day or longer to do. They felt like quitting, and 90% do and guess what they are still wondering what to do next.

Still 24 hours left to sell yourself to me.

    Dear Bev,

Hi, my name is Sean, you prolly don't know me much (if at all) because I just started posting to this forum last month.

I'm a 19 year old young man working to achieve that superbly wonderful thing called 'Financial Freedom'.

I've been at this for over three and a half years, with no success until earlier this month. December has seen me to $205 total from my workings online.

I feel utterly fantastic and defeated at the same time.

Not going to bore you with my sob story, but I'm going to share the story behind my current motivation to achieve my goals online.

I have a beautiful girlfriend, her name is Bren (short for Brenda), she currently lives in Texas, whereas I live in Colorado (a good 10 hour+ drive away from each other).

She is 28 years old, lives with her family, and for the past ten years before she met me, had kept herself only to her family and took care of everything.

She still does. She handles the bills, her mothers care (she had a stroke a few years back and needs daily care), bails her brothers out when they need cash, handles her fathers taxes (with his money of course) and generally does everything for them.

She is her fathers accountant, and her mothers caregiver, but she is totally unappreciated in her house. Never a 'thank you' for the help.

She's never been outside of Texas, and while its a big state, its still something that saddens me.

I've lived across the world and back in my 19 years of life, and I've seen astounding things, and its made me a 'wise man' so to speak.

If given the business plan, it would not be for me, persay, but for her.

The plan would bring in the money we'd need to move her here with me, get her away from that dinky little town she's lived in her entire life.

That money would go to taking her to all the places she wanted to go as a little girl.

Tops of her list right now is New York. I've never been, and it would be fun to go.

She wants to meet my family, its spread out across the states. I'd love to take her to D.C. and back to California to visit all my aunts and uncles and grandparents.

This business plan would not benefit me, but this little girl with dreams she never thought she'd have fulfilled.

I'm going to visit her on the 29th, and prolly come home a week to a week and a half later. I love the time I spend with her.

To be with her and see her smile makes me the happiest man alive.

Bev, I'd understand if you didn't choose me, I'm sure there are many others with cases far more severe than my own. I mean, I'm a guy who gets excited winning two dollars on a scratch off ticket.

It would mean the world to me if you'd be willing to help in any way Bev.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,

    Sincerely,

    Sean Sheehan.

    Hi

Firstly, Id like to thank you for the great opportunity that you are giving this christmas. I know that it is something that I really need to focus myself in business but I know also that there are so many more people that truly need it much more than I do, but I will still put my story in...

I live in NZ and up until recently we had our own business on the east coast of NZ but due to illness (on my part) we had to give the business up to focus more on health and family.... So we walked out of this with nothing but mountains of debt. We moved to another town and started a new life that was less stressful for me. My partner then secured a job truck driving which makes us, usually just enough to pay our rent and enough to make it to the following week. Just a rundown of the few days before christmas... Our phone was disconnected 5 days before christmas and our power was due to be disconnected the day after... but with lots of grovelling at the bank we were able to stop this from happening... anyway.....

Enough soppy stuff, I have been online for the last few months... reading everything that I can to learn as much as I can so I can start a succesful online business. I really have the 'get up and go' part ok, its just the path... Every few days I find a new path that looks great, but there are so many side alleys that I just cant stop and look at. I know that there is work to be done, and it will not all be handed to me to 'push enter' and then I start earning money, and I am ready and willing to commit myself to securing my future and the future of my children. I am set to give 150% of myself to a business plan and also willing to help people , here in NZ and anyone else , that are less fortunate than me, to get themselves ahead.

So... that is my story... not only for myself, but for my children and others that are in need... or deserve something better in life.

Thank you so much for your time and I wish you an your family a wonderful christmas and a prosperous new year..

    Thanks you again

A business plan would be the nuts
    Alleviating all my "Buts".
Am trying hard as I'm a "Newb"
But I must say I am not a "boob".
Must add to income that's no more
    And as a senior it's a chore.
My jumping quickly place to place
Has left just eggs upon my face.
I am a freelance writer too,
But IM incomes have been few.
And with some guidance, work, and luck,
Am praying I can make a buck.
Am joining here with hope, while feeling
I can shatter that "glass ceiling"..

    Bev,

I need a business plan very badly, and I also know that if I want to succeed, I need to have a successful person like yourself to model myself after.

I have played around the internet for a couple of years going in a million different directions, but never staying on one for very long. I know that if I continue to fail to plan, I will be still stuck in the same place next year.

At my age I want and need to succeed now, and I really need a plan to go along with my enthusiasm and desire to succeed. If you would choose me for this honor, I will follow the plan as if my life depends on it.

    Thanks for your consideration.

    Warm regards,
    Barbara

The other thing to remember is a business plan is not for life. What I mean is that once you have a plan, you will need to make changes to it. Take any successful business, not only will they have a plan, but they make changes to it.

This is something the winner will need to do, they will need to use it and make the necessary changes to it as their business grows and develops.

    Bev,

    Merry Christmas to you too...

You see writing a business plan is like
    designing the architecture for a
    building/palace. Ultimately all businesses
are like palaces... So you'd be happier to
design the architecture for a palace that
will stay in this business longest. And since
I am starting young, going strong and will
stay in this business for the rest of my life...
At least another 81 years (I'm 19 and I hope
to live till at least 100), you'd really like to
be the architect for the foundation of a
business that will last that LONG.

Another reason would be that I am looking
for someone as bright as YOU to write one
for me, problem is I didn't find anyone else
    as smart as you... hehehe

Now Bev, you gotta say... Are bribes allowed?

I'd love to offer one.. problem is I do not know
    your home address

    Once again, Merry Christmas...

As I say, Saturday is Round 2.

But, I want to leave you with some questions, and please take some time to seriously consider them.

Why do you really want a business plan? Forget the standard answers that a business without a plan normally fails. Forget the standard answers that everyone says you should have one.

Why do you personally want one?

Why do you want one today?

How much work are you prepared to do to get it?

Think because I am writing it that there will be no work for you to do? Wrong! You will need to work hard and long on the plan. I'm not a mind reader, and I will not write a plan for anyone who doesn't know what they want and why. They might have an idea and that is fine, but to come with a clean sheet of paper and expect me to fill it won't work. Even a one line idea is important.

Also what are you going to do with the plan when it is written?

The majority of people think because they have a plan they don't need to do anything. That is a waste of both of our time.

Business planning, both writing and implementing it is hard work. Yes, that 4 letter word people don't want to hear. WORK! WORK! WORK!

If you're not prepared to work, then quit now.

Here ends the lesson for today

      Thanks Bev...

You know I want to move the the US, and for that I really need a lot of money. Yes, I'd be moving in as an investor and yes, I'm a hardworker. Without a proper business plan, it all fails. I can't put anything into implementation.

I have this goal... move to the US by June, 2009. I'd need a home over there. I already have real estate assets worth around $100K... All earned through some consultancy, Physics coaching and some thorugh IM sales.

As you see, I have a goal, I also have a plan of action. I don't know if its a business plan or not, but it is most cretainly a plan of action. It would definitely help a great deal if a B-Plan expert like you could just have a look at the plan and give a few suggestions.

And I am not only WILLING to work and work hard on it, But I am ANYWAYS GOING TO work very hard on it.

So please take my application into consideration... Please.. (Begging)...PLEASE

Lakshay I'm looking at everyone at the moment, so you don't have to be concerned about that.

How's New Delhi, it's been a very long time since we visited it. We spent just a few days in the area before flying back to the UK. We took the long overnight train from Hyderabad to New Delhi, and stayed in a nice area (non tourist) and enjoyed some good food, and walking and seeing different things.

New Delhi is just the same... With much more population, development, flyovers etc. than ever. When waas was it when you did come over here? There has been a rise in the number of malls ... Steep rise. PLUS the all new Delhi Metro.. I'm not sure if that was in operation when you came here last.

Which area was it where you stayed?

I have a funny story that I have told before but it fits here so I am telling it again.

I wrote an e-book about eBay and thought it was great. LOL

Bev was fairly new to the forum and she didn't like my e-book at all and let me know and it kind of upset me. So, the next thing I knew she wrote an outline to having your own business plan. I planned on tearing her outline apart like she did my e-book. I just knew this was going to be easy. I mean turn about fair play..right?

Well, I read and read and read some more about her outline for a business plan. Guess what? I couldn't find one damn thing wrong with it. It was fantastic! Sure spoiled my day since I was looking so hard for something to be wrong with it.

Matter of fact, it was the best thing I ever read about business planning! Here's my point....since her outline was so good just think what she could actually do to help you with your business with an actual business plan? It sure the hell could be a big change from where you are now if you take action on it!

By the way, if you're just going to get her plan and do nothing with it, don't bother getting it, let someone else get it that will actually use it and apply it.

    Hi Bev,

I'm going to take a little different road than everyone else seems to be. I'm not going to tell you why I need you to write a business plan for me. If you're looking for the neediest of all Internet marketers or the one with the best 'little engine that could' story, you won't find it here.

You should write my business plan because I think it would be interesting, challenging, and wholly different from the majority of the business models you work with. I'm in the software business, and currently working towards a major product release in the next couple of months. The product targets the IM industry, particularly those in the article marketing arena. And yes, that includes businesses that write articles for others, so I think you'll be interested to hear more about it.

In the big picture though, this product is just the first in a larger plan. We have a number of applications slated for the next 1-2 years, which I believe will fundamentally change how marketers conduct their business. This has been defined and even written down, but not nearly to the depth and specificity that it could be with an actual business plan.

We're on an ambitious track, and a business plan to match could be a challenge to complete. It will be quite different from the 'usual' IM plan, with info product creation, squeeze pages, affiliates, coaching, membership, etc. Yet many similar themes will come into play: we will have an affiliate program, and obviously will still need to sell our product.

I think it will be a good opportunity for you to work with motivated, proactive people. You'll have plenty of drive and customer-participation at your disposal. You'll get to contribute some industry knowledge that we might be a bit short on. And you'll have an inside look at what's coming in the way of amazing new IM software.

To sum up, working on a business plan for us will be the most fun and interesting project you could choose. And what's more, you'll have the ultimate testimonial when that plan has been followed and our software is in widespread use.

Thanks Charles I really appreciate that.

The funny thing is that when I posted my feedback it wasn't all negative, but sometimes we don't know what the person is saying. I'm glad we came out the other side better for it

    Round 2

    This is in 2 parts.

    First part

    Send me a PM

Ask am I in round 2.

If you are then you will get part 2 which is a lot of work.

If you don't want to do the work, then don't send the PM.

Bev, I would happily apply to have a business
    plan made by you.

I have been online longer than many here, but
have not considered myself that successful.

I started years ago with someone that I paid
for website design and training, with a one year
contract. There was no business plan, just "do
    what I say".

I struck out on my own after that and created an
authority site. The market changed, I changed
what I offer and don't make what I used to.

I have put several smaller sites up in that niche as
    well.

I have tried several things along the way that
were not part of a clear sighted plan. I have culled a
number of sites and let them go, even though it was
    difficult.

I have started several sites in a new niche, that will
point to a new authority site, but have not
connected all the dots yet to get the money flowing.

I have stuck to things over the years... even
when I was discouraged and wanted to give up.
I need to work online, so I refuse to give up.

I fully understand that this is a problem I have
    created for myself.

I have planned, but it was not good enough.
I hold myself back, as I cannot seem to see my way
clearly. I have not made the business plan I
need to make the jump to doing better.

I paid for a class/business plan this year, but it
was basic - how to take your business to a new
level and put it online, how to get the right customers.
This I could have explained to someone myself.

I need a good business plan so that I can move
forward. I know your plan would be far better than I
    could put together.

    Thanks for considering me.
