Big Client-Need advice on interview-what to sell

This is a company that sells training services for hospitality/waiters.

They already have a very good website and the ranking is high. They are looking for someone to take over marketing their business online and perhaps some off.

This is my take on what they need:

  1. Need opt in form and start collecting visitors e-mails
  2. Possibly by an e-mail list of universities (which is who they cater to)
  3. Direct mail

One of the stockholders who is a friend of mine and referred me and called me and told me they were calling because I had taken his site to new heights in Google and other search engines.

I'm expecting a call anytime and thought I would ask here for little brainstorm on what you think I could offer them.

So basically I'm looking to be their web guy, optimize them further for Internet searches, and do some promotion off-line with direct mail.

    This sounds like a Continuing Education kind of business. We do work with a number of continuing education business and the basic formula is 8.5 x 5.5 full color post card with variable data personalization. The difference I see off the bat is that CE companies market to individuals not to universities, and to the best of my knowledge no waiter needs to be licensed.

    You could look for online Continuing Ede companies to get a starting point for a sales technique. That's the best advice i can give without knowing more about the client.

    Good start.

    I wonder where a list could be found for universities?

    Restaurants would by me obvious choice.

    I see they do sell to restaurants, schools and hotels.

    The postcards will probably come in at some point in the process. I want to find out what they have done already.
