Visits or Unique Visits: Which do you track in Google Analytics and Why?

Google Analytics, by default, calculates a conversion rate based off the number of visits.

I find this to be somewhat misleading because many customers will revisit the site before they decide to convert.

Your visits can fluctuate and throw off your conversion rate, but the unique visits will prove more stable of a number since we don't care how many times a visitor visits your site.

I choose to calculate my conversion rate based off unique visits to get a more accurate sample size.

What method do you prefer and what benefits am I excluding from regular visits?

I use uniques becasue that is always the lowest and when I can get that number up to the same as visitors, I know I have a pretty good amount of traffic.

Not to lower my standards, but to give myself a bit of extra incentive.
