Too many affilliate links or too few?

Hi Warriors,

About a month ago all the posts in my site just dropped from Google.

Yes, the site is only 3 months old and maybe it is dancing around in Google's crib but then if that is so how come my main keyword is still on page 1?

All my pages are still indexed so I figure it isn't the dreaded "sandbox".

All content on the site is unique, I haven't done any backlink spamming and onsite SEO is as best as I know.

Then I started wondering about my affiliate links per post.
I have a lot pointing to Amazon.

All images are linked, there are some text keywords linked and even a buy button.

All this probably adds up to maybe 10 affiliate links per post pointing to Amazon.

Is this too many links?

Your thoughts?

Andy

    Hey Andy,
Is it the home safe site? Looks okay mate, well done.
Seems the home page is still doing okay cos the links all go to inner pages.

I noticed on one page (under $100 I think) there was no text, only graphics going to Amazon. Maybe a bit of text in each box would help it stick.

PS: How good are the "compare" charts for conversions? I love em

      Hi Craig,

      Thanks for the reply.

Yes, the homepage is the only one that doesn't have a ton of links pointing to Amazon. So maybe the issue with my posts being dropped past #100 is due to the fact that I have way too many links on each post.

Yes, you are right, I do plan on adding a box above those images in the "under $100" page and others.

As far as conversions go I think it is too early to say as I get very little traffic at the mo after all my posts dissapeared.

It looks good too me as well.

I don't think there are too many links on the page at all.

The key is to have a lot of content that gets the prospect excited about purchasing the product.

I personally dont prefer to keep more than 2 or 3 affiliate links.Just to let google know "Hey big G this is not a site for making money, this site is only useful for people who need information of this site."
