Christmas Greetings from Florida

Merry Christmas everybody.

It's 81 degrees F outside right now and muggy. It feels more like August than Christmas!

Just wanted to send good tidings to everyone.

Gotta go play with my new Linksys Wireless-N Broadband Router that Santa brought me this morning!

LOL - both of the kids got laptops from Santa too.

Guess it's time to go visit NetNanny, huh?

Merry Christmas!

    Merry Xmas to you!

That router should be plug and play.

Hope 2009 is as grand as you want it to be.

We're in Florida also. Man, I love this weather!! It's been so beautiful outside lately. I love Florida winter!!! It's about 75 here and kind of overcast, but with some sun peeking out. I'm in Ocala.

I'm wearing shorts on Christmas day. We might even go to the beach tomorrow or Saturday if there's a break in the weather.

    Merry Christmas, indeed!

It's nice and warm here in Tampa, just how I like it. We just got back from Colorado, so I like these temps!

It got up to 80 degrees here in Orlando. Just the way I like it. Bing Crosby can keep his "white christmas". I sure do not miss shoveling snow out of my drive way and putting lock freeze in my car doors so they don't freeze up.

Yes, it is 80 here today near Ft Lauderdale Florida. Yeah, I don't miss scraping the car and putting salt on the porch, but I do remember those days.

Yea... it got up to about 20 deg. F here in northern Vermont today... (big change from the -10, -20 we have been dealing with)

    You guys suck.

My back is still hurting from shoveling the 18 inches of snow we just got...

HaHaHa... I feel soooo bad for those of you who didn't enjoy a 'white xmas' </sarcasm>

    - Jared

P.S. Merry Christmas to everyone (even if you live in a tropical climate )

Christmas Greetings from a place that actually looks like CHRISTMAS!! : Chicago

We have had like 3 blizzards in the last week!...so much snow accumulated I could not get out of the driveway. Temps rose today quite a bit. Got all the way to 22 DEGREES!

A few days ago it was so cold I chipped a tooth on my soup.

But I do love to hear how gorgeous Florida is. No, really, I do.

I spent Christmas Eve day out on the Gulf deep sea fishing in shorts and a tee shirt. Fresh snapper for dinner - can't beat it with a stick.

After growing up in Minnesota and dealing with prairie blizzards in Nebraska for 17+ years, I'm convinced...

A "white Christmas" is a beautiful thing - to watch on TV! :p

I hope all had a safe, satisfying Christmas...

Happy Holidays from north of the Peace River...

    Hi John!

Any Grouper out there? I was thinking about going out on a party boat sometime soon...before it gets cold. You know, 50 degrees. LOL

Starting to see a few more keepers closer in. We got a lot of shorts (minimum length for reds, 20 in. and gags, 22 in.). Man, it hurts when they measure that thing and it's a quarter inch short - back it goes...

The boat I like to take is the Angler's Dream out of Placida (near the Boca Grande bridge). The captain knows his stuff, the mate's a really nice guy and they give you plenty of fishing time for your dollar.

Like I said, a lot of the grouper will be undersized still, but you can catch enough other reef fish (snapper, hogfish, porgies, Key West grunts) to make a really nice pile of filets when you get back.

If you're interested, the website is Anglers Dream - Deep Sea Fishing - Placida, Fl. . If you decide to contact them, use the phone number. You'll talk to Barbara, who is a total sweetheart.

      Hi Allen
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I just got off the phone with my brother who lives in Tampa. He always rubs it in during the winter. We have had over 50 inches of snow to date and many single digit temperatures as well. I'm looking forward to summer when were in the mid 70's with 50% humidity and my brother never goes outside when it's 95% humidity and in the 90's for months on end. Just a matter of perspective I suppose. I say this as a former Florida Resident!

I bought myself a membership to the War Room for Christmas.
Posted a thread about it but got shouted down. Who cares, its
82 in Thonotosassa, Florida and life is good.

This week is a good time to have a talk with yourself and get
a game plan going for the next 12 months, then do the first action
on the list even if its a small thing. Just do it.
