I was shaking my head in disbelief when I saw that video yesterday but I didn't want to be the first to call the OP on it. Either way, karma can be a real b*tch... everyone gets what they deserve in the end.

We need more people to stand up and be the first to call out something that is obviously illegal. If more people will stand up and voice concern then we can more quickly weed out this type of thing here. If you notice something that needs to be called out, don't be shy about being the first to do it. As long as your not attacking anyone personally and are pointing out legitimate issues with a product then your doing the forum, and yourself, a service. |

Best quote from the Movie: The Speech Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off. |

I kind of think this thread shouldn't be removed or deleted. I think there is so much to learn from here. -Firstly, grabbing your balls, taking a deep breath and taking massive action after setting yourself some goals is an awesome way to push your business forward. Yes, this is going to make this guy some money, for years if he refines this process. -Secondly and paradoxically this a "how not to do it" thread at the same time. You shouldn't lie to people to make money. And your sales page, testimonials and videos are full of lies and deceit, which is a real shame. Whether you care or not is irrelevant. Its not legit, and its not cool. You don't have to be a saint to recognize that. If you took the work ethic, motivation, enthusiasm and energy you put into this project and put into something, genuine, sincere and legitimate I think you would make yourself a lot of money and I am certain you'd have a lot of success. Are other marketers lying the same way you are? Probably. Does that make it right? Definitely not. You've got a lot going for you, so don't spoil it. -Thirdly, having contacts in your niche, or in the Internet marketing crowd is VERY important. Working with other business people will sky rocket your success and your profile. If you publicly post in a forum you're cool with lying to people as long as they give you money and don't whine, then you're not doing a lot for your rep, and you've left a lot of money on the table in terms of deals you could have done with other successful business people and in this case warriors. You might not think your reputation is important, but believe me it is. - Fourthly I am from the UK, so don't understand the legislation involved properly, but I am sure if the FTC got a hold of this kind of thing, you'd be looking at a significant fine and some time behind some bars. Is it worth it for a semi-successful warrior forum post and a few hundred dollars? When people are telling you this is a bad approach, its not because they want you to fail and its not because they are jealous, or a Mother Theresa (however you spell her name), its because they want the best for you, your customers and the industry as a whole. In the long run, you'd do well to listen to some of the criticisms in this thread and learn from them. Look, if you can do all the work you did in 24 hours, what would stop you scrapping the current project and doing some ethical, legal, legitimate and profitable and setting it up in 24 hours time? Its doable and worth doing. You'll save face, time and money and you'll probably be a little bit better off for doing it. Just my 2 cents on this situation. |

What's funny is all this concern about this guy's fake testimonials, yet no one ever gives a second thought to the rubber stamp bogus testimonials that are passed around like candy within the good old boy IM network, or the bogus shipping fees, or their bogus sales letters, etc. Not condoning what he did at all, just an observation, that's all. This guy is a little fish in a big pond. If such things truly concern you, maybe your outrage would be better directed towards the big fishes who seem to get a pass. |

Just as another "lesson" to learn: I'm sure you are planning to use article marketing to help market this website. Well, I certainly hope you are not a member of my directory. If I see a link to your site in a resource box, I am going to kill the account and every article submitted under that account. I can also tell you that if Chris Knight comes across this post and he finds you have an account with him, he's going to cancel it and kill all of your articles as well. There are many other article directory owners that read this forum. In fact, I can say for sure that any directory worth two cents has someone reading this forum every single day. So before you say that you, "don't care," you should take into account the repercussions that may be involved in such endeavors. LOL - I even helped you out via PM's to help you get this going. Funny how things work out. Allen Graves |

Whether the big gurus's testimonials are true or not, I haven't seen them come on here start a thread saying its fine to break the law and lie as long as they're getting paid. I think thats the difference.

We've all been short-changed. This thread could have been an inspiring example of what's possible. Instead it's an example of what not to do. I largely ignore testimonials but if I knew they were false I'd never buy anything from you ever again. Not only that but I'd tell as many people as I could that they should keep their wallets away from you. Last time I looked I wasn't wearing Mother Theresa's headscarf and I'm certainly not prissy about marketing but this is wrong and illegal and....you've lost a lot of potential friends/JV Partners and so on. But it was a really, really good idea... |
