Your question is not clear. What exactly are you talking about? Do you have a specific website that needs a sales page rewrite? Or...????

The answer is perfectly clear, although we are not sure what the question actually is.

YES you need better sales copy to get better conversions.

Yes, you need a good sales copy for good conversions. Nothing works like magic, but yeah some work better than other things.

Doesn't matter if you're not an "aggressive" marketing company. As you already said, nobody won't want better conversion rates.

At last, I would like to add that it completely depends on how the sales copy is currently performing. If YOU think it needs a change, it does. If YOU are satisfied, let it continue.

Id like to see what could be done? its been slow lately even when ive doubled my PPC campaign to 500 a month, weve been getting one sale every 3-4 days,so Im guessing I could maybe improve on my site wording,to hopefully allow more conversions

      Hey There,

I know this isn't a PPC thread, but just a quick PPC tip on budgeting ...

Is your campaign profitable? If you're getting a sale every 3-4 days at $130 each, I'd suspect you're profitable. (I don't know your profit margin.) If you're profitable, why would you limit your campaign?

If you're not profitable, don't increase the PPC at all unless you change something.

It's common for marketers to "raise their PPC" limits on campaigns that are successful and "lower the limit" for campaigns that aren't producing. In reality, you want no limit on successful campaigns and to spend no money on unprofitable campaigns. It should be an on or off switch.

Anyway, that said, yes, your copy could be improved a lot. Based on your site right now, you could probably easily double your conversion rate with some improvements to the copy and layout.

How much traffic do you actually get to the site per week and whats the conversion traffic. You may want to look at some viral and ezine marketing (if you do not already do so) as well as improving the Sales Copy.

Not the biggest fan of ppc although for some people it works very well. Marketing to you niche auidence can be done in many ways. Tony Shepherd amongst many others are great on this area.

I started with PPC as we've been online 6 months,Just lately broke into Viral marketing major (huge benefit) we made it to google's front page in 5 days with the technique. Tron,

I'm not a fan of PPC. But if you are going to use it, make sure you are very specific in the keyword terms you pay for. Pick the exact keywords you want by putting Quotation Marks "___" around them. This will cause your ad to ONLY appear when the exact phrase you specify is typed in.

So, pick the terms you know will bring you the buyers you are looking for.

Example: "Tatoo Supplies", "Tatoo Suppliers", "Quality Tatoo Supplies", "Best Tatoo Supplies", "Bargain Tattoo Supplies", etc...

I wouldn't go for "cheap", as that is not the client base you are looking for. You might as well type in "dirty needle", as "cheap tatoo supplies". Go for the people with the money. And by using the quotation marks, you eliminate the searches for: Tattoo Artist, Tattoo Removal, Jailhouse Tattoo, etc...

You don't want to pay for the people not looking for what you offer. This will cut down on your PPC Costs, and, at the same time, send you more targeted traffic. Your exact client base.

      You can do this.

Weeelll, I personally think it's better to start out with broad, phrase and exact match and test to see what's profitable.

You're losing a lot of money if you just use exact match. Exact matches are most likely to convert, but they're also the most expensive terms to bid on and have the least traffic. If the other terms are profitable and you don't test it, you're leaving a lot of money on the table.

          Hi Derek,

The reason I said what I did was because he mentioned he was loosing money with PPC and he is a supply store for tattoo professionals. He doesn't want to pay for ads directed to those looking to get a tattoo, or, say, have a tattoo removed. This is not his market. By being precise in his keyword placement, he will get the actual people that are his customers. Yes, he may pay a little more (maybe) but he will be weeding out the clowns that will waste his ad dollars and his time.

You said it yourself, this will generate the least traffic (you've weeded out those who are not his customers) and that exact matches are most likely to convert (The very customers he most needs) I see it as the biggest bang for his buck.

As I said before, I am not a fan of PPC at all. But if I was going to use it, in his case, that's how I'd do it.

You don't tell them what Q.T.S. stands for. It had me wondering. I did see it later in the text, but don't make your reader be a detective. Tell them.

What are the top benefits that your customers get for doing business with you. Tell them in a way that makes that clear.

    Tell them:
    1. Here's what I've got.
    2. Here's what it will do for you.
    3. Here's what I want you to do next.

You have a Few Days left for FREE Shipping! Order Now! for the HOLIDAYS!!

You come across as patting yourself on your own tattooed back. You definately need a re-write of your page.

I'm not being an ass, here. I'm trying to show you ways you can improve your copy and increase your sales.

Hope it goes well for you,

Sales copy is the single most important part of the process of making money. If you want to understand the importance of sales copy to the success of any product just do some research on the old battle between VHS and BetaMax.

I know you threw your heart and soul into this, but someone has to tell you the truth.

Looking at your website, you need to do a major overhaul of the place.

The front page looks tremendously 'busy'. You have a banner advertising a sale at the top, you have a short intro, and a couple of products (I assume these are your best selling products) for sale all on the same page.

On the top, you have a navigation bar, off to the right you have a drop down menu for your specials, and a couple of them actually below that.

To the left, you have another nav bar to your products, and a search link.

Also, above your nav bar (upper right corner), you have yet more navigation links.

If your front page looks like some six year old threw it together, I suspect your visitors are having migranes trying to find anything on the site. As I click through it, my suspicions are confirmed. How do you sell anything when no on can find what they need?

Forget hiring a copywriter (you don't need one, put that money to better use elsewhere), the first thing you need asap is a web design specialist.

If you want recommendations, PM me.
