Desirable top level domains (TLDs) in other countries
Hi folks,
We have a website now on a (dot)com in the U.S. but increasingly we are creating content that emphasizes cross-cultural influences and we want to invite people from other countries to participate in the conversion on our blogs, our webinars, etc. We'd also like to sell collections of these conversations and digital products in those countries.
What is the current wisdom is on which TLDs are worth buying if we're doing marketing in those other countries, particularly China.
Is .asia worth getting? Is there another Chinese-specific TLD that we need to buy that would be more useful? Or should we be trying to get our American site seen in China? I'm not sure an American site in English would show up in Baidu without some extra effort but I'm not sure what that effort should be?
