Looking for a small Angel Investors - Do you (or are you) know of any?

Hey all,

I'm going to be releasing a pretty intense product and need an investor to fund the marketing push. I have a long history of building million dollar websites and have been really good at helping companies I've CxO'd pitch to investors.

Problem is, I don't know where to actually find small investors. Big ones, yes. Small ones, no.

So a shot in the dark here. Are there any Warriors who are interested or know of AA's who are willing to invest smaller amounts (~$50k) into a powerful product with a proven leader at the helm?

Any direction would be nice! If you have any questions, please post in this thread. To give actual contacts, or if you are an AA yourself interested, please instead send me a PM with your contact information.

Cheers!

If you have a great idea / concept then come on the Forum and say HEY this is what I’ve got, see my site/proposition/idea and people will look and if it's good you will get investors.

Most people on WF don't have 50k lying around to invest but I bet they know people who do. Otherwise there are lots of investor networks if you Google it.

Investors are sold on concept and vision and the entrepreneur behind it.

maybe he's afraid people will steal his idea. on the other hand it'll be difficult not to know what you're on about. double-edged sword. if i had 50$ to invest, i personally wouldn't pm you and say hey, take my money. give the niche at least and the potential it has and hopefully you'll find someone to help.

True, he might be the next BIG THING (Facebook etc) and needs to keep it secret. A lot of the great ones were rubbished in the beggining.

I was going to respond to the person who first responded to my post, but you and the guy above you basically hit the nail on the head.

I'm not green when it comes to creating new web assets, and I know that one of the most powerful things is being the first to market. With that in mind, you'll be committing entrepreneurship suicide to disclose your product before it is fully released.

So with that said, let the PMs/forum responses flow

Being first to market is important but being in a position to execute better/faster than the competition is the way to achieve that. If you disadvantage yourself so significantly by discussing the idea with others, then you don't bring enough to the table to interest investors.

Google didn't get to where they are now by hiding their idea, plenty of people were already running search engines. They did it by being better able to execute on the idea of running a search engine.
