Anyone have experience creating a product to sell here, or Clickbank, etc.

Good evening everyone. Well,, it's evening here in Cali. I'm looking to begin building (creating) products to sell either here or on Clickbank or any of the other affiliate sites.

Now, I'm not new to this biz but, I have never created my own product yet, and I think it's time. I'm an affiliate marketer and have done it all in that realm. I think it's time to step up the game and create some of my own products.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this? I can write and all that,, but I'm looking for "The Way" to build a product, and put it all together and have it all bundled in a nice package that I can sell. With all the bells and whistles,, and when I say that I mean, how to have a way for people to buy it,, you know, the buy now button,,, and I wanna create video courses,, and I don't know how to package it all up.

Now, I know I should check here, but, I wanna be guided by someone that can steer me in the right direction that may know a good place to start.

Oh, and I want it all done for free,,,,,, haha,, just kidding. No,, I know it cost money. But,, does anyone have a possible idea of how much for a low end type site? I may sell the courses for like 10-20 bucks,,, something low cost so I don't wanna spend too much on it.

Looking for some direction.

Few months ago, I've finally started to launch my very first product.

The result was quite OK to me, as that would be the very first time for me to launch my own product.

I've gained some insights from the launch.

Here's the check list that I could remember, from the preparation of the product, until the post product launch:

Niche: "Offline" Marketing + Online presence.

    1) Start in the easiest place - online marketing forum.

    2) Wanted to dive in to the offline marketing arena, to serve local businesses.

    3) Found an offline coach, paid to learn things about "offline" marketing (I found out that this is the best method that suits me personally). It's fast, and I have a person to attend to, whenever I need him, within reasonable working time frame, and there's someone holding me accountable.

    4) Go out and try to do things according to what I've learned.

    5) Document the process of what I was doing, what problem did I encounter with, what is the strategy that I used, etc...

    6) Make some noises about my plan to create a product, showcasing what I've been doing, and what I've learned - to acknowledge people about it, and to acknowledge possible JV partners.

    7) Join the niche-related sub-forum to search for questions from members or other person who attempt to get into the offline world, who meet with problems. Notice what's the most common problem at any given time. Try to give genuine personal experience based on the questions asked.

    8) Copy and paste my answers posted, ready to rewrite as my own content in my own product.

    9) Look at some other experts' posts, try to look at the answer given, and think about what other answers can be given in some other perspective... Create my own version of "answer" and post that into my own product.

    10) Try to interview some experts in any given field. Ask if I can record the interview and use it in my own product, as a bonus, etc.

    11) Transcribe the recording of the interview.

    12) Start to organize the information.

    13) Find related information or niche courses to study on, about product launch, since I'm going to launch a product, and I have no such idea on how to do it the right way.

    14) Notify prospective JV partners again, and also other people that I think which could help me to improve my product by giving me some constructive criticism. I tried to contact people that I've been talking/chatting to, in the forum. I tried to contact people that THANKED me before. I tried to contact people that I've helped them in answering their questions about offline marketing previously.

    15) Take time to help others by posting some helpeful & constructive ideas in the offline marketing section in those forum that I'm in.

    16) Take around 2 weeks to attempt to write my very own sales letter, since I'm not a native English speaker or writer.

    17) Build my very simple backend funnel, without any OTO or upsell (which eventually make me around $600 in net profit just by doing a few steps in this area).

    18) Tell all of my personal mentors/coach about the launch. Let them do a final review.

    19) Send out complimentary copies to a few trusted forum members. Not a review copy, but a complimentary copy. They have the flexibility to choose whether they want to give a review or not, on my thread, and I don't allow non-genuine reviews. If they think it's not good, hey can tell me about it. That way, I can improve the quality of my product!

And I ask them to be honest saying that they received a review copy, if they are going to give me a review.

    20) Give genuine support to buyers, and grant refunds promptly, if there's any. Be polite and show the "maturity" in you, even if your customers are rude to you. I found a few that was being rude to me, eventually show their respect to me, after they see my replies, and they know I'm genuinely there to help them, not to provoke them, not being cynical, sarcastic, or anything along the line.

I even ask them politely if they could let me keep them in my list. They agreed, ALL OF THEM.

    21) Check if there's anyone bought your product TWICE, offer them a refund. You would be surprised to see that there ARE people who bought things twice from you, and never noticed about it. You will be amazed to see their expression when you do so. They would show a lot of respect and appreciate you for doing so.

    22) Offer something such as product update, or relevant information to the buyers, without any strings attached -- to build the rapport with your list...

Well, that's all I've have in my mind now.

I have a lot more ideas that I'm going to add in to my current effort, and I have a lot more ideas on how to create the rapport with my list, and most probably create a new product out of the list.

The opportunity to work together with my list, is limitless and endless.

Hope this is somewhat helpful to you guys.

    Aiden

P.S. I'm a relationship marketing guy, so basically what I do is go around, talking deals with others. I love that... That also resulted my first ever launch to be a not-bad launch at all...

I am a vendor of several products on Clickbank, and am constantly adding new products.

I can say without doubt that the #1 most important thing is that your material that you are selling be created by an actual subject matter expert. Make sure your product/material is AMAZING....

... then make the pitch page / sales page match that.

I've seen quite a few vendors on Clickbank create amazing pitch pages, then have a crappy product sold, only to see 70%+ return rates.

For example, I am personally play World of Warcraft, up to 5 accounts at the same time. I've been doing so for many years. I have used this knowledge to pioneer and create my own software. I recently started selling it on Clickbank, and the feedback has been amazing.

For every 1000 units of my software I sell, my return rates are ~1% or less. When I look at other softwares on Clickbank, I am seeing 50%-80% return rates.

Have a passion about your product, create something solid, offer great support, and you will crush it.

(edit: I bolded for some fun)

A low end product would cost you between 200-500$ depending where you hire the outsources.

Aidan provided some great info as well as the other replies...

For such a low priced product $10-$20, you really shouldn't spend that much on making it fancy... I'm not saying to put up a garbage product with a garbage presentation, but really the price will sell itself with a SIMPLE presentation and some graphics highlighted with the BENEFITS of your offer/product...

Once you get to over $50 or $100 price point, that's when you should be more concerned about all the bell's and whistles. But even then, I've found with my own products and niches that I'm involved in that SIMPLE is still best.
