Blog Commenting with Affiliate Links?

Hello,

Have you ever done blog commenting using an affiliate link as your website? If you did, was it successful?

I wonder if it has an effect on the comments being approved or if it is a s
omething that can be successful in the long term.

IMO you should rather drive people to your website that links then to your affiliate program. I'd consider it more of spam if you were just posting comments to throw out your affiliate links.

Thank you. If the comment is long enough and on topic, and the link is placed in the space for the URL below the name (not a keyword), will you still consider the comment to be a spam?

joel1031 is right. If you're gonna post comments on blogs, use your own website/squeeze page so you can collect the leads and then you can direct them to any affiliate offer you want. This would be more effective and would increase your chance of getting your comments approved.

Thanks a lot for your responses. I think that I am going to set up my own page.

Actually if you really want to, and can't afford/don't want to make a website and get hosting, is simply register a domain name and forward it to your affiliate link.

If you'd like help either way PM me.

I am not sure this practice is allowed by most of the reliable affiliate programs.Use a short url, that's the least you can do to avoid your account being suspended by the affiliate program.

Yeah ... go ahead and do it. I'm just going to filter your comment out or delete it anyway.

Yes it works! And you’ve to work hard too……. Do you need an idea as “How much should I work”? Comment on 500 niche blogs and wait 10 days. End of 10 days, check traffic status and conversions.

I was thinking the same thing, you have to work hard that's for sure.
I wonder how effective would prove using a commenting software..?

I don't entirely agree with website owners not accepting the comment, if it's on the topic and meaningful why not? To lower the chances of rejection even more, use a URL shortener (Amazon has this built-in, example: amzn.to/jmdWgj, bwahaha shameless plug) or register a trust-invoking domain to redirect to the affiliate link, most people won't bother checking your site, they'll just glance at the url.
