And try setting some goals for yourself. Set a goal for when you want to make your first $1 online. That may be next month, 3 months, or 6 months down the road, but set that goal so you're actually working towards something.

There's LOTS to learn here! So much free information that you may well get information overload. This is great learning grounds though, and a fantastic place to ask questions if you have any regarding internet marketing.

I've been here for years but only recently began getting somewhat active so have few posts, but that's because there's so much to read and learn.

In my sig I have a free ebook if you want to learn some Internet Marketing basics. The basics are things we often forget we know and assume new people automatically know, but in this arena fundamentals never change. The mediums and presentations and whatnot change with trends, but the basics never do, so get a handle on those and you'll be ready to explore more and try things out.

Consider also a War Room Membership. That may just add to your information overload though.

My advice from here is to use free sites to test. Then you can watch things work without spending any money and you'll get a grasp on how things work. When you want to expand to your own "base" you can purchase your own domains and hosting, but for right now, free services(such as Squidoo and Hugpages) may be the way to go.

You're going to spend a lot of time reading and learning.

DO NOT spend a lot of money to do this though. Pretty much all the information you need to start seeing results is available online, for free, and here is definitely one of those free places to find that information.

Sign up for some mailing lists from the Internet Marketing players too. They'll usually give you a good amount of free stuff to read and learn from their pitches. My favorites are:

Welcome to the warrior forum. Honestly, the best advice I can give you, is that EVERYTHING WORKS.

You must pick something, AND RUN WITH IT.

Please, please please please please follow this advice.

If you do not, you will get overwhelmed with how MUCH there simply is to do, and you will switch around, not make anything, and give up.

Pick something. Push it until it works. Focus. Make it yours. That is how to succeed.

If your going to start, start with the END in mind. Never forget to ask yourself FIRST, "why" am I about to do this step/task, "what" is the end result going to be, and "will" it be worth the time I'm going to put into it.

Sounds like you have an awesome man for a husband and he sounds like an awesome father too.

While making money is cool and all...with all that free time available at your disposal...you could make more money (right now with your currently limited affiliate skillset) by going to work for an aid organization like Salvation Army or the Red Cross - Lord knows they need extra workers with all the disasters happening back to back.

Saving lives and helping others through disasters will always be more lucrative than a $2.00 lead from some latest CPA here today gone tomorrow program that took you 20 hours to learn how to generate.

Welcome! You are definitely in the right place! I would echo what people have said, hang around for a while, look for a BUSINESS model that could suit you (NOT crazy methods that promise quick riches), study it carefully, make plans, stick to them... And only spend money on products (information, software tools etc.) that will directly contribute to these goals - I personally spend very little on that kind of stuff and do fine. Decent info abounds on this forum!

As some others have mentioned, you should spend some time learning the basics in different ways of IM and related skill sets for now before purchasing things out of eagerness.

You must be excited to make money and you will get tempted to purchase many products if you spend too much time reading about them. And if you do buy it on impulse, you may find that the method isn't really compatible with you or even limit your vision on all the different marketing techniques out there.

There's A LOT of free content in this forum so I would suggest you get exposed to as many different areas of IM as you can and once you've gained the general background knowledge, pick a product from a highly reputable IM in that field and that you feel most comfortable and confident in and then devote yourself till you see results. But again, please please please refrain from buying too many IM products right off the bat. They can certainly be useful but can also be a distraction to learn the basics before focusing on making money

Welcome. Your post is a breath of fresh air. So many new members lately come in and almost demand people explain how they can make money yesterday. Patience and humility are virtues. I think you'll do fine.

Welcome to the WF! I know it will be a big help to you. A couple of things I would like to share with you.

*When you choose a money making method, stick to it until you see your desired results. Too many people jump around and try different methods before they get a grasp on one.

*Build your email list. This is essential for long term success in IM

*Research The Law of Attraction as it will help you realize the unlimited power that you possess.

*Try affiliate marketing to start out with. Its low cost startup makes it ideal for someone new like yourself.

I hope that you find the success you are looking for and don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand something.

Welcome to the forum! Im still fairly new here, but i wish i had started reading this forum long ago. It would have saved me tons of time and money. This is a goldmine of knowledge that you dont need to pay for! Try not to fall for these "one click millionaire" products. If you want to succeed work at it. Good luck!!

Gosh thanks for the welcome! I'm a complete research junky so I'm having a great time looking around. There's so many different options! I'm sure I'll get much more involved as I'm looking around. Thanks so much for the advice! I'm taking notes!

Go for it! Oh yes, and whatever model you go for, stick with something you know and love - say it's farming (you might hate it, but just an example!) I bet you have huge amounts of useful knowledge in that area that people NEED. So whether you are creating products like ebooks, building a site/blog to promote affiliate products, or any other model - DO IT IN A SUBJECT AREA YOU KNOW AND LOVE. It is then sooo much easier to stay motivated. In fact, if you don't do that there is a good chance you will give up (been there, done that, MANY times!) Pick something you love and you can write/create/promote it all day long!

There are a thousand different aspects of IM. Some people try to do all 1000 of them and wind up giving up and going home broke.

Find ONE aspect of IM that you LOVE to do and DO IT. Then you will be rich and playing with the big dogs in a few years.

DON'T do something because you heard someone say that it makes a lot of money if you wouldn't like doing it.

DON'T buy a WSO that claims to make a ridiculous amount of money in a short amount of time.

DON'T buy a WSO that tells you how easy it is to make money.

DON'T give up!

I guess you see alot of people come on here and say, they need to make money by next tuesday. They need $3000 for a mortgage bill.

But it does work like that.

You need to work hard, build a list of prospects that loves and adores you and then you can see good results.

ITs hard work and dedication to the game that will get you there in the end.
