www. Not In My URL. Does It Matter?

I have been noticing for a while now that "www." is not in my blog's url.

this is my current url: online-career.com
I think it should look like this: www.online-career.com

I am here wondering if not having the "www." in the url makes any difference at all.

Please let me know.
Thank you.

You can arrange it however you like, at the registrar. You can redirect the with-www version to the without-www version, or vice-versa. Many people simply use their registrar's default setting.

You might want to arrange any off-page SEO you do to match the one you're choosing to use.

You could even put up two different sites, if you wanted to, one on the with-www address and a different one on the without-www address.

On my older sites, I've used the "www" version (and not changed them, just in case of any adverse SEO effects), but I changed my mind a year or so ago and I now use the without-www versions for all my newer sites. I don't see that the "www" adds anything, myself. But I always have the www version redirected to the other one.

When ya post around the web, put an http:// in front of your URL, this will make it an active link anywhere HTML markup is not allowed.
