Which Blog Platform is Best to Lead to Your Main Site ?

Hi, if you were creating a blog with information about a topic and linking to your main website, which blog platform is best ? Would it be best to just create a Wordpress blog using Fantastico, or create a Squido lense, or a Hubpage, or something else ? I would like to say all of them, but not sure how you could create enough content for each, especially considering how much time it would take (I only do this part time).

Hosted Wordpress Blog on your own domain. Hands down.

Do something like yourmainsite.com/blog and link to your main domain from your blog.

Yes, this is the right thinking... once you have your 'authority site/blog' in place, then you use squidoo, hubpages, free blogger.com & wordpress.com blogs, etc, all of them that you can manage, to link to your 'authority blog/site'.

Even if your site is not a blog, not wordpress, just a normal html Xsitepro site ? You would just create a normal blog and link to it from your nav bar at your main site I'm guessing ? Why is this better than a separate blog ?

Do all of them including a Wordpress blog on your own domain. Use the almost same content with different headlines and tags.

Yes,

Similar content. Just mix it up a little and use new headlines and tags. Each site has different things on the page and links and formatting and page names etc... They will all get indexed.

There is a free manual, but best to just go to the site or subscribe to the free newsletter from Gary Craig. I am currently just learning about it - there are free videos at the website to watch - it is somewhat inbetween accupressure, accupuncture, psychology, pain relief, but far more than that - it is tapping into the meridians/electrical system so to speak that we all have inside us and how to manually by ourselves change the way we feel by tapping gently on these meridian points.

My idea would be to use WordPress or Blogger for my own blog. This way my blog is on a high PR site, and search engines are more likely to find it very quickly than if they have to crawl my own site that few people know about, if any.

Am I wrong?

Sure but you lose control. Focus on having ownership and you are safe from your blog getting removed.
