Dear Newbies......The Faster You Fail, The Better! Here is Why?

Dear Newbies out there,

There have been alot of new guys lately in the IM game come here and tell us that this IM is nothing more than a scam!

Here is time for a bit of a reality check! So listen up!

Guess what, failing is good, because the faster you indeed do begin to fail the faster you will profit.

Right now, you must understand one very important element to being a successful marketer.

When we carry out any sort of task day to day....as marketers either these two things are guaranteed to happen.

1) You will make money!

2) You will not make money!

Heck, there should be a 3 here, which is you might even lose money!

Do not get mad or upset, because as a marketer I have realised that when you are ''testing'' things out, you tend to fail at stuff more than you succeed.

But taking action is the key! When you learn that we do FAIL it comes quick and is normally CHEAP as well. And you learn to see this happen quickly!

Now here is the most powerful thing with all of this.....

When you do hit on something that makes you money (this could only be about 20% of the things you actually test) we know if we keep doing this FOREVER, its going to keep making us money consistently!!!

How POWERFUL is that!!!

So quit whining and telling us how much of this IM game is a scam. Stop crying and spend the time you would normally doing this, and go out and test some stuff until you find something that works!!!! YES, ever thought about that?

Have an idea you should have added in your sales page?

Got an idea for some new PRODUCT or NICHE to get involved with?

Well get it all up and running and send some GOOD OLE FASHION traffic to it. Go out there and see what happens.

Now, I can hear the newbie say, I cannot make a product, its too hard, I cant do it.

WHO REALLY CARES? You dont have to collect money from people straight away. Why not go out and test peoples response to a product before its made. And use that as a basis to see if your idea even has the glimmer of hope before you decide to go ahead with it.

Nothing will give you a buzz and drive you more, than to create a product, knowing there are hungry people out there craving for what you want to offer them!!!

Just get off your arse, get amongst it and go and TRY SOME STUFF!

Heck, what I have just told you, will not even cost you anything, just a bit of your time. The more stuff you get out there TRY the more results you are going to get. Both good and bad.

Just realise that the more you get to do, the faster you will get to see what is working and what is NOT WORKING!

The most incredible thing about IM marketing is that how insanely constant and consistent things can be for you when you get good results from your testing.

An example is if you test an article, written a certain type of way and around a certain type of keyword and it is getting some great results..... chances are you have just struck gold! It can bring in some fast and steady results that are quite predictable in the future and heck you might make some sales from it LOL.

The main driving force here is that if you find a way to make money, from testing, chances are it will not die suddenly. You can keep doing this and make money whenever you want. Now if you find a few ways to make money all you are really doing is up scaling your efforts and making more.

You can do this while you test and add things along the way.

So stop reading this, go get out there and GET AMONGST IT!

Scott I love your comment, Thomas Edison once said the same that he never failed he simply found 9899 ways that don’t work!

Very true BUT remember, the key here is not to give up and avoid TRICKS keep on the right track, stay solid and honest to yourself and your clients and you will prevail no question!

As for the new folks I am working for on a project that I will for sure present to the warriors first then to the public, so keep an eye out guys….

I couldn't agree more. The more you fail the closer you get to learning what works.

If you are one of the few that succeed in your first try, congratulations... you are among the few. Most have to figure it out by failing and not giving up.

It is like college tuition. The most difficult thing is to get excited about failing... but that just means you are one step closer to finding out what it takes to succeed.

You can lose money on a college education...

You can lose money running ineffective ads...

You can even lose money on serious marketing courses, seminars, and personal coaching...

Or, you can view these experiences as exciting investments where you received something of incredible value for your time and energy...

          Education.

It's all how you want to look at things... like a money losing VICTIM, or a money controlling HERO.

The one thing I've learnt is never give up, the more you learn and take action on the nearer to your success you will be.
Besides why give up when you have spent all that time, effort and money.
Learn and implement - discard what doesn't work and crank up what does work.
            Wow! I do believe that's a plan!

This post got me thinking of one of my favorite quotes, from Thomas Edison:

"I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward."

      See the bold words?

I did that because that is the crucial part of understanding this quote, and why some people rebound from failure and move on to success, while others drift from one failure to another. And trust me, I know this, firsthand, better than I care to admit.

      "... every wrong attempt discarded..."

The key there is realizing that we have made wrong attempts. Owning up to the fact that we screwed up, and that even though we invested time, money, energy and passion into something - we were flat out wrong.

Once we admit that, we can become empowered and "DISCARD" those "WRONG ATTEMPTS" and move forward. Now sometimes we move forward into a whole, new "Wrong Attempt", but if we apply the same principle, we simply admit, discard, and keep moving forward.

I'm a big fan of failing fast, but the key is getting past our own ego, admitting we were wrong and then having the cajones to toss those methods and keep moving forward.

Great thread. I hadn't thought about that quote in some time, but it really is a good one to meditate on.

    LOVE IT!

You rock dude, peeps need to get that whip cracked once in awhile.

I know I been there at one point, and I think everyone has too.

Just remember how many times Edison failed to invest the lightbulb. In fact, he failed so hard core that he stole the idea of AC current from Tesla (learned that from a niche site) LOL

So get out there and start F*CKIN UP! LOL

You'll learn WAY more that way! Get em!

This is so true. At least you can proudly tell your fellow IMers that what didn't work for you and get a "thank" for that.

This is a perspective I'm adopting:
As long as any of my online businesses is able to cover the costs I spend on them, then I have already succeeded with it.

How much money are you gonna spend on any online business?
    1. Domain - ~$10
    2. Hosting - ~$40/year (if you take the single domain plan)

So, if your business makes you $50 dollars, the rest of them are profit! And the more businesses you built, the more potentials you have!

You might be asking what about your "salary"?
Who cares...? I mean when you are starting out in IM, there are tonnes of stuffs that you don't know and you are learning in the process. So who cares if you aint making (much) money? It's just like taking an internship without getting paid.

Don't get brainwashed by the hype that you can make $100k in 30 days, because that didn't happen to most IM newbies and it didn't to many IM veterans as well. You can argue that some 13 year old did that, but I know I didn't and I don't know wth is that 13 year old either. Try to build something for the long term and focus on it until it makes you money.

It's an online business - not an online scam you are building afterall.

Yeah I definitely attribute much of my success to being extremely stubborn and NEVER giving up. I can count my big successes on two hands, but my failures would take more like ten hands
