Wordpress Plugin To Ad Comments To Email List

I bought List Machine Pro and I am kind of disappointed (it cost $997!). I think the functionality will come to me as I experiment with it more but on the surface I really think I over spent.

Anyway, the most valuable feature, to me anyway, is the comment to email list feature. (When someone posts a comment their email gets added to your email list).

Is there a Wordpress plugin that will just perform that task without having to install a new Wordpress Theme? (if not.... programmers here you go...)

    Dunno, but if you have that inside the product you bought, then why would you need it?

    One solution is ImnicaMail have a free plug in which will auto-add people subscribing to a WP blog to an ImnicaMail e-mail list. This is awesome for membership sites and any site where people have to get on the database to get the functionality. Using this, you could set comments to subscribers only meaning they have to be a subscriber to the blog prior to making their comment.

      Unfortunately you have to install it with their theme. So, lets say I have a blog with 500 blog posts, if I install List Machine Pro it installs their theme. You have to, to get the other functionality which stinks cause I have to rebuild everything.

    Is it really ethical to add e-mail addresses to a list when people have just left a comment? Doesn't that count as spam?

      Not if you double optin...

      To the OP, there should be plugins like that available already. Just take a stroll over at the WordPress.org website to search the available plugins.

        Yea... double opt-in is the key. You are right TPW.

        Also... I have strolled around Wordpress plugins and haven't found the write thing. I installed the one the Rashell recommended but haven't given it a once over yet.
