There's always a concern that the bidders will not actually pay should they win. Just make sure that you do not transfer files or domain until payment is made. If you really don't trust them, you don't have to accept their bids.

If it's a high end site going for big bucks, do the transaction through escrow.com. Protects both the buyer and the seller.

I normally let them bid, especially if it's at the beginning of the auction.

I Agree with Longrag.. accept there bids if your auction is in the initial stages..

You might be safe with using escrow or holding files and domains after payment.. but remember - non paying bidders will waste your listing fee and time.. you might end up getting the credits back from flippa by submitting a complaint.. but it takes good week or two for you to relist the auction back...

This is very important to have an escrow account for payment and transfer of files. Has anyone ever used an attorney for these transactions?

I agree with Suzanne and Londrag.

If it's for a high priced website, use escrow if you're nervous about the buyer. Escrow.com will protect your website/money if you set up the transaction right.

Also, it's good to let most anyone bid at the beginning. It will increase your bid count, thus increasing your chances of greater exposure by making the "most active" page.
