    Pook Do...

    1) Brand yourself.

    2) Brand yourself.

    3) Brand yourself.

    Do you see a pattern?

If you brand yourself, you will seem credible to the online community.

Also, pick a niche in which you have an extensive knowledge. For example, if you kick ass at the blackjack table, focus on "winning in blackjack" as a niche.

Write articles about your niche every day.

Write blogs about your niche every day.

Read the posts in the warrior forum. Learn from them. There is a LOT of knowledge here. Be a sponge and soak it up.

    Open a Squidoo account. (squidoo.com)

    Open a HubPages account. (hubpages.com)

Anytime you need to tag an article, make your name a HOT keyword so Google can pick it up.

Example: Type my name PAVON DUNBAR in Google. Now type your name. You'll see what I mean.

If you "Brand Yourself And Not The Guru Or The Program", you'll be fine.

Other Warriors will give you advice on how to start out. Follow them.

This is my way, however. I don't pay for advertising. There are too many free ways to advertise here on the Internet.

If you need help, let me know. I'll help you out. Just PM me.

    Pavon

The biggest hot tip I could give anyone starting out is for goodness sakes, find one proven plan, write out the steps of that plan in detail, follow that plan to the letter, keep on going, even when you want to quit that plan, and only once you start making money from it do you rinse it off and repeat it!

In short, focus on one thing at a time!

      Good luck

      Hi,

The best advice I could give a newbie is this.

Set a Deadline and stick to it.

To many people new to IM spend way to much time preparing to get started. They think you need to know everything before they begin.

To get started the reality is you just need to know enough to make your first dollar!

It's amazing how the power of action takes over. After you get feedback from your first efforts you can more properly decide what materials you need to study and what actions you need to take.

Don't become a 3 year newbie, you know everything there is about internet marketing but can't make a dime online because you haven't tried anything and really don't have any idea what really works.

Its the people who take action that succeed.

Set a deadline of when you will stop studying and preparing. A real date. On that day you put the ebooks away and do something. Anything.

Remember you just have to make your first dollar to get started. Don't put it off. Set your deadline now and go for it.

      Do it,
      Terry Hatfield

    All excellent advice.
I'd just like to add...self discipline.
It takes lots of self discipline to make this work. You have to turn off your browser, stop surfing the net and sit down and write. Or work with that software until you learn how to use it correctly. Keep working on that web page until you work out those quirks that keep popping up. Proof read and proof read and proof read you copy. Don't start another project until you are finish with the one at hand. You will want to do other things, explore other opportunities, put things on hold. Not good. Being your own boss is difficult. You need lots of self discipline to make it work successfully.

    Build credibility.

Very few people will buy from you without knowing anything about you or your organization. Squidoo is a great place to establish credibility and earn affiliate income at the same time. You don't necessarily have to develop a full income stream from Squidoo like I and some others on this forum do, but it is certainly possible. Even if you only invest a part-time effort into the site, creating lenses related to your niche and areas of expertise will not only build your credibility and drive traffic to your sites, but it can also earn you Adsense revenue sharing and affiliate income as well.

As long as you have a game plan and you continue to educate yourself on affiliate marketing techniques and strategies, you will do well.

My single word tip is 'FOCUS'

Do not do what many of us start out doing and that is jumping from one thing to another. Create a plan that will help you reach your goals and tackle the steps one at a time. Add new methods as you master the ones you are using. Never lose sight of your goals but celebrate the stepping stones that will get you to the end result that you are working toward.
