Top Clickbank Aff = $279K/Month !!???

Hi. I'm a total newbie with IM. I was looking through CBEngine and saw the Yeast Infection No More (TM) product. The info page says its top affiliate earns $279K per month. Is this for real? I guess it must be true to comply with the FTC. Any ideas on the methods used to accomplish that kind of success, i.e., PPC? I would imagine top affiliates for other, more successful products would enjoy even better numbers. Thanks for your comments. I'm just looking to learn more about the business.

Its very possible, though I wonder what his costs are. if he earns 279k per month but spends 300k in advertising...well...you see.

Do you really think an affiliate at that level of income would be stupid enough to spend more than what he earns?

Of course, an affiliate at that level most likely has built some big lists that keep making him money over and over. And of course, the lists still grow everyday. That's how you build and maintain a big business.

Yes- sometimes they will be, but it has little to do with being stupid. Sometimes, for example, you might have your own line of products and maybe this product owner could help you a lot and so you want to form a relationship with him. You promote his product, even if it costs you some money.

Making $279k per month is more than possible to make.
There people make that a week with there online business.
Someone making that amount of money per month might have
no less then 15 different taffic sources hitting there website
    per day.

Also they maybe doing some serious media buying too.

There is a kid online by the name of George Brown,
He is like 19 or 20 years old and making 100k per month
with his online business and like i said he is only 19 or 20
    years old.

George is the owner and the creater of Traffic Ultimatium.

Definitely possible, but I don't see this being possible with free traffic/SEO. If the commission per sale is ~$25 (might be way off since I don't know anything about this product) that's 372 sales per day. At a conversion rate of 5% (which is high) that's around 7000 clicks per day to the offer. Now I don't know how many searches there are for yeast infection keywords, but I doubt there's enough to get this kind of traffic.

Based on the number of poorly written yeast infection articles I have to reject from my autoblogs, I can believe that it's a big business.

How does CBengine get info on how much a particular affiliate makes? That's private information only known to the affiliate and Clickbank.

It is possible but I would take the product owner's claim with a pinch of salt. It could be exaggerated also.

But to achieve that kind of sales, the affiliate must be advertising heavily through media buys, etc. It's quite likely that's the case.

So his revenue could be $279K/month, but profits could be significantly lesser, maybe 10 to 20%.

It's hardly believable to do so using pure free traffic.

The information is taken from the vendors spot in the CB marketplace

There are people who are multimillionaires and billionaires from their online business that they started in their garage. Take Mark Zuckerberg for an example.

But do remember one thing, nothing comes for FREE! So, take everything with a pinch of salt. The online business sustains on the very essence of convincing people that everything is just so easy, when it is not.

They don't say the sky is the limit in this industry for no reason. But I do believe some niches are more limited than others, and I think this is one of them.

If this guy makes 279K per month, he needs over 10K conversions each month to do so. At a 1% conversion rate, that's over 1 million visitors per month.

This targets only people who suffer from yeast infections...seems a bit hard to believe for me but you never know. This claim is made by the vendor so what proof is there to back it up?

There are nearly 7 billion people on the planet, and over half of those are women. And every woman I've known has at one time or another suffered from a yeast infection. I honestly don't think that there's much of a limit to this niche to be honest.

A woman w/ a yeast infection and a credit card - you'd be surprised at how large that demographic is.

Think about this, if the top affiliate is making 279K a month...what do you think the owner of the product is making? Crazy. Look into making your own product instead of concentrating so much on selling other peoples. It might turn out to be better for you.

Once you start to get outside of the niches that are so heavily marketed too like Make Money Online, Stock Market, Forex, Real Estate, Weight Loss etc your refunds are very very low, in most cases under 5% is my experience.

279k a month would be barely enough to pay my bills, mortgage and expense. A bit like peanuts.

just kidding, it can be possible especially in the fitness niche, what a huge niche (on clickbank too).

Actually, you'd be surprised to see how many fake statements and the like you can find not only there but on other so called reputable sites. Sometimes only the people getting attention are caught. A lot of the smaller sites/products still fly under the legal radar until enough people complain. As far as the example you used, I'm not familiar with it enough to say one way or another if it's real or not.
