A hello from a new Warrior- and a few questions

Hey everyone. Ive been a member for awhile, but havent posted as Ive been just soaking everything in. Ive been at this for just a few short months(have yet to make a buck!) . Ive been building websites and blogs for years, but have only recently discovered how to monetize this stuff. Ive got a few simple questions if somebody would be awesome to help me out.

-I have a great domain for a product launching at the end of the year. I have a plan on how I am going to promote this product and already have my site layout.

My questions are simple.

-This product is scheduled to launch sometime in November. How soon should I put my site up? As soon as possible?
- I plan on paying for some traffic, how soon would be ideal to start this process? I dont want to start to soon and waste money. As I suspect the majority of consumers wont purchase this product until closer to release.

And advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Well this is a physical product, so I guess launching asap would be the best. Thanks.

Since Online reputations for your website take a while to build, & increase over time, the earlier launch the better.

Yet, it takes time & whatnot to build up to a launch. So, best compromise is to create the website & material that will sell the product & get that on your site.

This way you can start building your websites' reputation w/ search engines as an authority in that market. Use a few absolute terms that identify you in the market which can be the foundation of your websites keywords.

This way you can build buzz before the product ever launches & even use it as a buzz creator, withholding the product while getting people interested.

Main point: Get the content up earlier & your rep will rise for it. Search Engines wont even know your site exists if you build it days before product launch. Great Luck!

If you search for Product Launch Formula and/or Jeff Walker, you will find just about the best product launch training possible. The idea is the launch is really the last piece, but the site, and the preselling can begin early so you generate server crunching launches.

It works for pretty much any product, build the expectation, release information through JV partners, and so forth. Most of the launches are using WP sites, which drip feed the pre-sell material. Starting with the problem you product solves, and over delivering to ensure come launch day the users simply want to know where to enter their CC details.

    Best regards,

    Chris

I would give away a free report about something that is in the same niche as your product. For example if you're trying to sell a high end riding lawnmower, do some research and write a 10 page free report of lawn care and landscaping tips.

Make sure it's high quality info. Then send traffic to a squeeze page where they have to opt-in to an email list to get the free report. Then over the next few months, send them even MORE great tips for free, always over deliver on quality, it will pay off later. You'll build an amazing relationship with them.

Start to leave hints that you're getting ready to launch an amazing product. Get them primed for it. When you release your product you'll already have a list of hungry people who trust you. If you do this all right, you should have a very high conversion rate.

Make sure to have a back end product. Something even MORE expensive that you only offer to someone who has just bought from you. When they pay, they should be sent to your thank you page, but on your thank you page is the offer for the other product. This product needs to be of even HIGHER value. Make sure to let them know that the 2nd product is a one time offer. At the bottom just have a little link saying, no thanks, just the first product I ordered please. You're leaving A LOT of money on the table without a back end product.

Anyway, hope that all helps! If I were you, this is what I would be working on right now. It's what I'm working on with my own products and it works just about every time.

    To your success,
    Steve

      Hi Symboilc,

      Some foods for though.

You wrote, that you've a physical product, and you specified it's launch by November. Question, is if your product relates to some event, season, holyday, anniversary, etc... Since, it determines how much preparation time is needed.

For example, if your product relates to Christmas, then it's advisable to complete everything (following a check-list) by before end of October. Go through the checklist more than once. It may be some mistake that you didn't realize at first.

Need to ensure that everything works fine. In the meantime you can give signals (pre-selling) from your upcoming product at every possible place; such as your blog (guest blogging), your emails to your lists, your forum signatures, pre launch article writing/submitting, social media, etc... You get the picture.

One more important. Watch the product announcements of affiliates of big marketers. Do not timing of appearance of your product when they are pushing theirs. They do big clamor, and few people will hear your voice in that tumult.

      Many successes,

      Sandor

This is awesome help everyone! Your really getting the ball rolling in my brain here. to answer a few of the questions.

    - The product is not related to a holiday or special event
    - Its a new hot product on the market, that was just recently announced. Which I know will be a huge seller. So I swooped in ASAP and grabbed a great domain. I hope that helps.
    - I have no experiance3 with CPA as of yet. Ive been working on writing blogs to build passive income. Can anyone recommend a good CPA program for beginners?

I will be honest with you; if you are launching in November you would want to bring out you web site around August and just use the method of article marketing and save the ppc for now with the articles you will be able to let many Googlers and blog readers to know and learn your product and when it will be coming to light keep that up and keep those backlinks on the articles and you will build up traffic from there and then 3 days before you launch your product write articles that will let everyone when the big day will be and you will win.....

Ok more great advice. Thanks Guys.

    - Seems my thought process was on the right track

My plan is now to build my site, write tons of content and have it up in a month. Use the summer and fall to build SEO and backlinks. Then use a PPC or CPA network days before launch. I think this is a solid idea. T

It looks like some of the posters mis-read the original post. He's promoting a product that is going to be released in November by a major manufacturer. For example, it's like he's promoting the next iPod. So it's not his product, but someone elses.

Sorry had to get that out there.

Like JohnsIsotopes suggested, you want your site to be the number 1 result when people do start searching for it. And people will start searching for it as it gets closer to release. You might consider starting out with material on the site that will cater to those anticipating the new product. Those looking for information on the product, especially the release date and info on it. Get them hyped. Let them know you're going to be the one to give them the information that they want on the product and to keep coming back. Or better yet, sign up for your mailing list so that they can get the info first!

Then most importantly get your site ranked for those keywords. As I mentioned, you want to be the first one in the search engines when the product launches.

Good luck on the site and the launch. I hope it pays off for you!
