Anyone else get slow buffering watching YouTube videos on WF?

I get the same. Must be the static in the air or justin beiber is rocking YT. lol

I've had variable results with YouTube lately, and suspect it is directly related to my connection to the internet via Time Warner Roadrunner.

I'm supposed to have a minimu 5Mbps connection, and in most areas in my state, they're already advertising 10Mbps standard, however there are a lot of times that YouTube has problems, apparently due to slow internet connection. During these times, I also notice (Or I should really say, my wife complains about) a lot of delay and buffering of NetFlix programming.

When things are slow, I'm seeing a net test result of about 1Mbps (way less than a DSL connection), but when things are running fine, net test shows anywhere from 5Mbps to 9Mbps download speed. Upload is usually around 1 or 1.5 Mbps when things are great, and as low as 0.2 Mbps (200 Kbps) when the YouTube and NetFlix problems are noted.

Even though YouTube may have problems from time to time, at least in my case it is often my local connection that is the problem.

Your mileage may vary. Living in a state that is in the contiguous US (AKA lower 48) may make things considerably different. Living on a big rock in the middle of the biggest pond has it's down side, often related to high cost of living compounded by substandard services, so you may not see the same crappy results as we routinely see here...
