What I learned from the Guru's that many "guru's" have forgotten

When I got into IM I studied the guru's like Yarro Starrak and David Risley, I read every post and devoured all the information. What I learned was the basics of starting an authority blog on the internet and what I plan to do with my blog.
  • Write about something you are passionate about and know a lot about
  • Involve yourself in the community
  • Establish yourself as an authority on the subject
  • Build a list of subscribers by writing AMAZING content on your blog and as guest posts on other relevant blogs
  • Treat your list like gold, they are the lifeline of your blog TRUST and integrity is VERY IMPORTANT
  • Never promote or recommend a product that you don't believe in or you will lose trust
Here is the part where I think a lot of guru's fell off, TRUST AND INTEGRITY. Is everyone trying to make a quick buck these days? I think too many WF members have been burned that they have a hard time accepting people who are giving out good information.
