Hi all

I have a weird slightly long winded question but it's just so 'intricate' that it's very hard to find any threads specifically answering this... do you mind??!

I have twin email blogs for entrepreneurs (meaning NO actual blog or archives are published) but each post sent out via email is taken deeper on my personal brand blog i.e. jasmith.com.

I'm really interested in contacting companies to get products to review (for both keeping, sending back and giving away to readers) but since neither site has a blog where the review will be published, I would like to publish the review on my personal blog that goes along with all the posts I do for the newsletters and extra posts I do for my personal brand like income updates, niche site reports etc.).

Do you think doing this is possible with a personal name website (I have 5000 subscribers now so I have the 'traffic' to back up promoting their review/giveaways) or do you think I should a) put blogs up for each newsletter site OR b) start a review site like "entrepreneurreviews.com (just say) and drive subscriber traffic there for any review related stuff.

Thanks in advance!!!
J

I think it really depends on what you want to achieve - promote your brand/name or promote your products/reviews.

If the latter, then having an EDM (exact domain match) for keyword really helps, and in that case your option a) is your best bet. If you want to promote the brand or a number of products, then option b) or yourname.com domain will be better.

Generally speaking, it's all down to the keywords you are going to drive traffic for and the way of driving traffic (paid or organic)
