Very well said. The trick to IM is to learn a method, use that method, and then expand that method. Pick something and stick with it. Try, test, and tweak until you get the desired results.

If after say... six months you still aren't getting any good results, then it could be time to look into a new method, but not before then.

Yes. Sure. And with most methods you can have success quickly.

But you'd rather be an expert in something than minimal knowledge of everything

The word "suckers", that bothers me. You must think that you got sucked yourself to say such thing especially if you wrote this instinctively. Did the idea cross your mind to edit your post and remove the word "sucker"?

This doesn't work for me. I believe in offering a good product to help someone solve a problem. By using the word "suckers," it makes me think "scamming" is the intention.

  yes very true. Right now I am working hard on my first big product. not a WSO but a legit product. Tryin to build a big list create an awesome product and sell a whole lotta copies.

Thanks for the great info. So I am a newbie and already hit with the information overload button. Since I am still in the formulation stage does anyone have any criteria that you may have used to select the method you decided on? I have read a lot here on the forum about different methods and Mike recommends to pick one. Talking about overload just research how many different methods there are out there.

I was in your shoes not that long ago. I did some research and decided that affiliate marketing was the best decision for me to start with. I feel it's a great way to start.

You will learn to build a website, write content and then drive traffic to it. My next step is to build a list, because I feel that's where the stability and money is.

I'm also looking at product creation after this. For now, though, one step at a time.

Keep in mind that these are just my opinions. I have a plan of what I want to achieve and these are the steps that I'm taking.

Affiliate marketing is great because you will learn so much about IM and you can begin creating an email list. From there you already have a nice base of customers to promote your own product to if you create one, as long as you take good care of them of course.

Information overload would be an understatement I think. There is so much and we all know that a good percentage of it is quicksand instead of quick cash. I lived on the forum all day today and I don't think I learned a thing so I know two things... that I missed something, because there is a wealth of good info on here and two... that I will miss it again and again if I don't pick a target and focus. But WHICH!!!!???!!!:confused:

Please note that I have never thought of, or referred to, a customer as a "sucker." My staff and I are grateful for all customers. These customers know they are appreciated. As a result, many have been return customers or have recommended my company's services to others. On many levels, this is very meaningful.

Most people think once they buy a WSO or guide that they will be rich very quickly from it and that all their questions will be answered. I was one of those people for awhile. When you see something like this it is generally passed over because it's to basic but it is the only thing that really works.

It's a universal law : first give then receive. But most IMers don't give(learn) anything first that's the reason why they don't receive anything

Very well said........................ You can buy every WSO there ever is and will be over the years. You can go every conference and seminar, and buy all the courses and you just file them away ready to read. But that will not you make you money, in fact that method will loose you money. And months later you will throw in the towel and say Internet Marketing does not work.

But if you buy a few courses and take action on what you read, see and hear, you will make money. But it takes work hard work, it may need some fine tuning, but if you take the action, you will make money. And once this happens by all means go on course that can take you further, but again you will need to take action, put in the hours, and over time you will be rewarded.

Many of these WSO are fantastic business models and will let you earn money in a matter of hours in some cases, but if they just sit there, and gather dust nothing will happen.

You need to buy a WSO, read it, and then put into action what you have just learnt.
