Does Anyone Have Any POSITIVE Experiences With a Developer?

Have checked lots of threads, but I want to hear from real, recent customers: has anyone had a very satisfying experience with a developer / programmer / designer who gave great satisfaction? Someone who could take a concept given to them and come up with the results, affordably, and in good time?
Only want to hear from satisfied customers please, not developers looking for work.
Thanks!
Sue

Once I have a good one they become more like an employee and I keep them busy consistently. I think often it is important to find a good match in terms of your needs. There are good developers whose skill sets don't fit, and those who do. Having a good designer and programmer in one person is less common, but they do exist.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

Yes, I can appreciate your insights there, and I agree with all that. The ones I have tried to contact on this forum mustn't be very recent - they are not replying.
Also I definitely need someone with perfect command of English, otherwise I have to proofread and correct everything, which to me defeats the purpose of outsourcing - saving my time.

Unfortunately I can't share his name since I don't want him to get super busy and not have time to work for me! But Odesk.com is where I found him and although he's away on the weekends every so often, the rest of the time he works for us on all kinds of stuff and does it well and quickly! Just give your tech person a small task and once they complete it well, then you can hire them for more detailed things. If they don't do it well, let them go right then!

Thanks, Jenn. I know about ODesk and similar sites, but for some reason felt put off going in that direction - can't remember why. Perhaps I should look again if there is noone here that could be recommended. Just wanted to keep it in the family (WF) :-)
