Best way to gather testimonials for triathlete product launch

Hello everyone

I would appreciate any and all suggestions on ways to gather testimonials before I launch my latest product, which is a triathlete alternative psychology system. I have 4 already, but feel like I would need 10 or so before launching the sales page and other marketing.

I have sent a temporary download page with all of the materials to numerous triathletes that I know, and asked them to send it on as well. No charge, just asking for honest reviews in return.

Does anyone have some input on other avenues that I may be overlooking?

Any warrior triathletes who want in on the deal?

Thanks in advance.

Stephen

If your market is on facebook, you can try to find fan pages relating to your niche and write a post looking for a review of your system. We have gotten great testimonials and customers this way.

I would go to some forums in regards to the product and post from there about the free download for feed back. Maybe youtube could help you if you posted a quick video asking for some reviews and have the product link below.

Not a triathlete, but am currently training for a 60km ultramarathon. I scored a DNF (did not finish) last year at 38km because of a tear in my plantar fascia. I'm going back next year - I have unfinished business with that event :-) You can't wear the finishers shirt if you didn't actually finish.

If it's a psychology system, would it work for ultra runners and if so, I'd be happy to have a look and give you feedback/testimonial.

I'd launch it anyway at an "pre-testimonial" price... let ppl know it will be going up.

If you're making a list from the buyers then send an email a day or so later offering them an incentive for honest feedback/testimonials.

It's been done many a time in the WSO section and proven to work there. I know I've meant to write testimonials before but never got around to it... an incentive speeds up the process.
