I Have A High Quality Ebook - What Should I Do With It?

The thing is, i set up a website to promote this ebook. I have 100's of articles on the site but i'm not able to make much sales.

I was thinking of setting up a 1 page website with a sales letter on it for the ebook. I would then get affiliates to promote the ebook giving them a healthy 75% commission.
(The reason i'm setting up a separate site is becuase i don't want alot of affiliate traffic going to my main site in case google doesn't like affiliate traffic or something).

What else should i do with this ebook to make a sustainable income over an extended period of time? Any ideas? I'm a bit lost.

    Hey Doc,

    I would have to advise giving your book away on the front end unless it is an epic novel! Or you could take out some of the key points and create a smaller book to give away for free.
    People are more likely to buy from you if they have seen what you are about for free first. get them to opt in to read your mini book and then upsell them the full book or opt in to get the book and upsell them a video course or something similar.

    If its related to IM, you can offer it as a wso on the warriorforum. If it's good enough, the social proof will sell it over and over for you. Moreover you can use your signature and drive traffic through your forum comments

    According to the subject matter, try Facebook. Set up a fan page and drive traffic to that page. It's cheaper than AdWords.

    Good idea. You should drive some traffic to your sales letter BEFORE you open your affiliate program, so you can test and increase conversion.

    Next thing would be to find back end products to promote. So you can pay out high to the affiliates to get the customer, then you can make some money from the back end.

    I would not give away the ebook for free. Rather use it as means to build a list of buyers.

      Better yet, give affiliates 100% commission (you can use Rapid Action Profits or Jon Leger's $7 script). In return, you get to build a list. And the real money is made on the backend as you slowly build a relationship with your list.
