ClickBank Thank You Page - Download

Hey,

One question..

How to make a hyperlink on "Click here to download" that won`t open the pdf document. I uploaded pdf on my server but when I set up the hyperlink, the browser opens the document. I would like to download the document when I click on that..

How to make this work ?

    Right click - "Save As." Other than that you can put the PDF in a ZIP file. That will make it automatically save to the computer.

      I know about the right click but from the customer point of view, I would like the file to be downloaded when you press the left button. There is no other way to do that, expect for ZIP file?

    I believe this is based on the end user's preferences. You can't change that. On my mac, it always opens in Preview whenever I click a .PDF.

    .ZIPs are downloaded always.

    On my PC PDFs open in the browser.

      Agreed with the others, what happens with a normal link depends on the user's computer's settings.

      A good thing to do is to add Right click and chose 'save as' to the instructions directly where the link is placed on your page.

      BTW: I'm pretty sure you can achieve what you want with Javascript. Maybe google it.
