Hi all I am looking at ways of getting UK traffic to my web site. I've been told I need to on this site as I will get tips and tricks, so any help is very much appreciated

    SEO, Article marketing, PPC, Blog commenting, Guest blogging, video market and a bunch of others...

    In order words, you are asking the wrong question. Without knowing what you are interested in, it is way too broad to give you a detailed answer. I wouldn't even know where to start.

    You can start joining a UK forum that allows a sig link. You can also target the UK Using PPC such as adwords and facebook ads.

    Let us know what kind of website you have and we can help you a little better. If you are selling a product, I have had great luck with Adwords.

    If you are creating an informational website you need to create lots of good unique content and seek links from other similar websites.

    go into google webmaster tools, select 'site configuration', 'settings', 'general settings', tick the box for geographic target and select UK from the dropdown menu.

    Means you are telling google your site is more relevant to UK and this should help your ranking with UK searches.

    I agree with Dash, more info will help people give you more specific answers.

    However, a quick solution is to do PPC campaigns and target the UK. Adwords is probably the easiest and most effective one, and geographic targeting is one of the first questions they ask when setting up your campaign. I think you can still get a $75 credit when you sign up. Just Google the offer.
