Hello all, I am A Australian living on the west coast in Perth.I have a little website that provides a better platform to offer properties for investment.I have this site now open for "FREE"I am doing this to try to gain some credibility and exposure, not sure if this is a good idea,.I need some help and direction in marketing this site.I have to admit I do grasp the very basics,of article writing,Writing with links on forums and that's about it.I want to provide a Quality service and only charge eventually $9.95 for people to access this site and obtain details to any property in any State of Autralia,I want to provide a Quality site and make it a win-win for all customers for this small price ,and help the Aussie battler,But MY PROBLEM is I dont know the right steps to garner some leads, market this properly on the internet,IS their a certain order of marketing that one must follow?ie 1) website 2.) article writing 3.) social networking stuff etc etc ? We have a limited budget and would even pay for leads within Australia but know enough to know I dont want to flood my website with non-specific targeted leads,,,,Can this be done and if so what budget? What manuals can I read and refer from,,I have signed up with profitlance and find this good, i must admit I am up against a very steep learning curve? What is a reasonable realistic income to expect from this site?and in what timeframe? I find this warrior forum is a amazing place to learn and Quench my thirst for knowledge but dont know whcih forums I should be in??hOW TO WORD MY questions properly..? Anyway many thanks for your time...even for example below in this template it has a box for tags? What should I put here keywords? Cheers |

Personally i feel there is no specific order in which to market... If you have a bit of budget do some banner advertisements on some very good australian websites. Also do a bit on google ppc. This will give you good targeted audience to you website. One observation...your website name is too long...it makes it difficult for people to remember it for repeat visits... |

Spaces - before - and - after - punctuation. One of peoples' first tip-offs to a project is how professionally you present yourself. If you can't format punctuation correctly on your own, use a spell-checker. Sorry to back you up to way before marketing, but truly this is essential -- it will even help you incite more replies on forums like this one. ![]() Bailey

Hi, Just a few quick suggestions for your site before you start driving too much traffic to it. 1. I would decrease the width of the page to about 950px so the whole page can be viewed and read without having to scroll to the right - still keep the 2 columns but just make them a bit narrower. 2. In general a light colored (probably white) background would be better than the black background. Black backgrounds suit some sites (those with a dark theme ie. heavy metal music) but is probably not really suited to a real estate site.3. If it were my site, I would remove most of the ads from the site until traffic has built up to a very good level. They provide too much of a distraction to people who you are trying to get to take an interest in what you have to offer, & an opportunity for them to leave the site. Once you've built the site up and have a solid customer base then by all means put them back to earn a few extra dollars. 4. On the left hand side where you have the reference material listed, it needs to have the space between each article heading removed/decreased - it would look much better with the titles closer together. 5. This is just from another aussie's point of view - the picture of the house at the top of the web page looks more like an American style house than Australian? I know there are houses like that in Australia but not that many - it's definitely a style I would associate more with the states so maybe that should be changed. 6. Where you have the opportunity to join your newsletter, it's probably a good idea to type 'Email' next to the box - it might seem obvious, but believe me, some people aren't that smart, or computer savvy. You need to spell everything out! Now, onto the traffic side of things. One of the best things I think you could do to promote the site is to issue a press release about it. This can be done for free or at a small cost and the results can be amazing. If you're press release is picked up by one of the news services (newspapers, radios etc.) you could find yourself flooded with traffic before you know it. For one site that I issued a press release for a few years ago, I ended up having a radio station contact me asking to do a weekly segment on that topic - be their guest 'expert'. I didn't go ahead with the offer as I didn't continue with the site, but it shows the potential a press release has. The other 2 main ways you could promote it without spending much or anything at all is through blogging and article marketing. Create a blog (or 2 or 3 or 4 etc.), update it 3 or 4 times a week with useful articles then drive traffic from their to your main site. With the article marketing, just submit some well written articles (maybe 20 or so for starters) to the top 10 or so article directories and see how that goes. Best of luck Rachel |
