There are more ways to build your list and customer database than you can imagine. You are often told something like search for joint ventures... or do an email ad swap for quick list adds.

Well, just doing a straight two way email promotion isn't the only way to venture with viable partners for big big traffic gains. Here are 10 great places in a typical online business sales funnel to offer possible venture partners value in exchange for some traffic.

Straight Email Promo

This is the obvious one and the method that most IMers jump into. It's highly successful and can bring in some big numbers. Depending on who you are working with and what niche you are in, the quality of the traffic could be iffy though. For example, if you have built your list strictly from forum marketing and your venture has used solely solo ads, you're list is more than likely going to be way more responsive.

Blog Sidebar

You always see new bloggers trying to sell advertising space on their blog's sidebar. This is a good way to add some income to your monthly revenue if you have the traffic rolling in. If you don't, it's going to be tough to find people who are willing to invest even $25 month on your blog's sidebar graphic slot.

Why not use this space for a free venture with a related marketer. Offer their freebie through a graphic they made and have them do the same. Make sure the venture partner's site is getting similar traffic viewers as you and you will have a nice mutual agreement for extra traffic.

You can at least build your list until you have the daily traffic to charge for these slots in the future.

Reviews are great for getting interested traffic to buy. To make sure these things convert, you should be offering a little extra freebie just like squeeze page. Why not make this freebie something from your venture partner.

The download page a viewer comes to after purchasing a product is a great place to offer venture swaps. These things are going to have buyers viewing only. So, the traffic is top notch at all times. All that is needed is a small graphic at the bottom of the download page that links to the opt in and sales funnel. Quick and easy!

Don't be shy to contact marketers that are similar in experience to you or more advanced to offer a joint product creation. You may be thinking that you will make less money by splitting a product with someone, but in most cases, this isn't how it works out. Working with a venture partner on product creation also eliminates half the work for you...that's almost worth it alone :p
