Is it possible to get 50% Conversion Rate for your Squeeze Page?

Is it really possible?

A guy told me that he manage to get a 50% conversion rate on his squeeze page? Meaning out of 2 person who visit his squeeze page, 1 will opt-in.

I have not seen his squeeze page yet..

My squeeze page got an average of 13% conversion rate. Is this a good conversion rate for a squeeze page? How can I improve on it?

    Yes it is.

In fact it can be higher.

    The keys are:

    -Relevance
    -Clearly stated (beneficial) outcomes
    -Testing

Thanks James! At least I know that I still have a lot to go to hit 50%..

I hate the testing part but guess I just have to test, tweak, test, tweak and test and tweak..

It is quite easy to set up a free Google optimizer split test.

I made a video for my blog subscribers showing them my own squeeze page test results and how to set up optimizer.

The feedback was great because people thought it would be much more difficult.

I am very happy with a 6-8% conversion rate on my squeeze pages. The people that optin buy my products about 83% of the time over the autoresponder sequence. My idea behind this is to squeeze OUT those who have no intention to buy.

I just started to take internet marketing seriously Dec 1. I had about 9 ppl who opt-in to my list until this tuesday which was the 23rd.

But ever since tuesday I've been getting about 30-50 opt-ins a day. My conversion rate haven't been under 25% since and the best I hit so far is 44%! Btw, this wasn't even a sqeeuze page, it's a blog!

Anyways, my point is that if I can do this within less than 1 month of IMing... I'm pretty sure plenty of ppl are hitting 50% or more.

Gluck with everything and wish you the best for 09'

The only way to know for sure is to test, test, test.

The thing that hasn't been mentioned so far in this thread is TARGETING. If your offer is matched tightly enough with your target audience, then I believe it can be done. I know someone else who did this with a targeted audience and a landing page that had been customized just for them (which is key).

        Go for it! Good luck!

My goal is to have the best of both world.. At least 50% conversion rate on my squeeze page and a good percentage to buy through the autoresponder sequence.

Yes, certainly possible. Keep in mind the source of your traffic though. Your optin levels will vary according to your traffic source. That said, split-testing is definitely the way to go in order to boost your response rate.

I'm using banner advertising to get traffic to my squeeze page. Hmm.. I think I should design my banner in such a way that it is tightly match with my squeeze page.

      Thanks Anna!

  • For most niches, I'd say that 50% is almost expected!

In any kind of ppc work I do involving squeeze pages, 50% is almost a minimum.

I've also found this to be true among several other marketers.

I'd shoot for it, at the least!

Of course, it's dependent on your traffic sources!

      Muhammad,

Your squeeze page looks good. You might try putting the name of your free report on the page and give it a catchy title. That might increase your conversion rate some.

Now I feel that my squeeze page conversion rate is quite poor.. Will keep working on it though!

I was also thinking of replacing the words on the left of the opt-in box with the ecover graphic of my report..

And also replace the arrow that I'm using currently with a animated blinking arrow pointing down to the opt-in box.

    What do you guys think?
