Buying FB fans/ Likes.

I am just wondering what the scoop is on FB likes or fans.

What has been the experience of those who have tried buying some.?
Tips?

Thanks,

Aaron

If by buying you mean "acquiring them through Facebook ads", then you can see really good results if you target your ads well.

If by buying you mean "paying a consultant to run your marketing campaign to get you targeted fans", then you can see really good results with that too.

If by buying you mean "buying them on fiverr or some other site like that", then my advice is to save your money because they probably won't be targeted, may end up unliking your page pretty quickly, or in the worst case scenario they are victims of clickjacking and will report your page for spam.

I'm also wondering about this - but at the end of the day I would only want to have people, fans etc that are engaged then people who don't do anything.

    What Jeffrey said...

If you want FB likes, write an ebook for the niche, give it away for a like.
Or hold a contest and give away something every month or so, entry is via a like.
That's what many of the others are doing to get you those purchased likes.
Doing it yourself gets you the followers that you want, and not just large numbers.

I have bought likes from various providers of fb fans in the past and my experience from them is that most either provide fakes, use clickjacking software or forced likes. So its difficult to tell who is providing a good service or bad unless they give you option to test with small percentage. I did come across 2 really good companies and its saved me 80% compared to what i would pay in facebook ads and yes they are responsive and make comments on my fan pages.

I guess you got to go through alot of rubbish to find the golden gems.

You have to realize that unless they are marketing your website or service directly on their own platform or to their private lists, they will probably just use fbook ads in the first place, meaning you should expect a fairly large cost per lead.

Almost all services you see being peddled around are clickjacking, phished accounts, and fake accounts.

It's interesting, I mean technically you could probably outsource direct facebook profile creation, so that even these "gems" you think you're getting, are just facebook bots on auto-pilot.

It's not unfeasible. It's very easy to write a bot that looks at the Facebook page, grabs the subject, and spits out a message like:

"ohh, this is a nice bit of info on %page_name%"

Of course this is all ethically, um, highly unethical! But I am sure there are services that could do this. I wonder how long it is, actually, before this becomes more mainstream. There are so many botnets, millions of computers, who could potentially be a "population" of sleeper cells. Quietly operating algorithmic lives one post at a time.

See, if you had a million facebook accounts on a botnet, each with their own unique I.P. address, each posting once every 3-5 days on the "campaign page", they'd probably go unnoticed.

I used to have a fan selling business. I outsourced all of the work and actually believed that the fans were "real".

I eventually abandoned that business when I realized that you can't buy "real" fans. Unless you're using FB ads, all the fans you buy will be fake or people uninterested in your offer (clickjacked, phished accounts). I've tried multiple suppliers and no one offers "real fans".

If you want guaranteed FB fans, the closest thing you can do is use this technique:

However, getting fans naturally is the best long term business strategy anyways.

Everything said is true, and fans who actually have an interest are obviously best, but there is something to be said for the social proof aspect of having a high number of fans in recruiting truly interested people.

I wouldn't try to 'buy' likes - it's probably not worth it at all. If you need them, buy facebook advertising as mentioned above.

Honestly, in my experience FB users are way less interested in how many other people like the page than they are in the potential incentives you can offer them for liking the page.

I've been known to bribe people on Mechanical Turk to like my page. Yeah, they won't convert to customers but it does make my page look more popular.

My experience is that they are of horrible quality. Fake, hijacked, completely untargeted. It's best to do it the natural way..

I have been buying Facebook Fans in various niches for the last month or so using Facebook ads. The method is based on a WSO by SimpleSpencer, I am not sure zero cent clicks or something like that.

The thing is getting cheap clicks is based on the niche and good targeting, I am not sure how it would work if your trying to get Fans to your personal website.

I have a ton of fans over various niches and they are pretty responsive.

from my experience, the best way to get targeted FB likes on your fan page is the use of Facebook Ads. using Fiverr or Twiends is a waste on time

Facebook Ads are extremely targeted - but extremely expensive

    Hello,

Formerly, our company always outsourced all orders to suppliers who provide FB fans. But we got tired of such methods like Twiends, Fiverr and clickjacking scripts and developed our own service for getting FB fans.

    Please, check this link http://we-vote.net/

It's a kind of a voting system – a website where people can vote for something or somebody. In vote buttons we integrate ‘Like’ button and connect fan pages to them, those fan pages we need fans for. Then we create advertising campaign on Facebook – ads with text and banner that redirect people to our voting pages. The main point here that using FB ads we can get real worldwide fans as well as super targeted visitors (we can target by country, age, gender, interests, education, career, etc.).

Actually we are still testing this service but it has already showed perfect results. It costs about $20-$30 to get 1000 global fans but now we are trying to reduce expenses for ads.

    Best Regards,
    Yaros.

If you want a free option, you can also try Twiends. You share likes, follows (Twitter) and Youtube views.
