Domain Name Flippers, Do People Buy .info domain name? Please Help !

I found a very good name,a one word domain name to be precise, and .info is available. This was appraise by estibot at $875 . I will like to know if people buy .info domain names at sedo or any other domain name flipping marketplace.

    Think of it like this:

Are you willing to spend $3 on your research and work? The payout looks nice enough. I'd sure buy it.

Estibot is just a software and you should not take that appraisal seriously. Furthermore - .com domains are worth more than .info - so possible buyers are looking for the .com instead of a .info .

Sorry. That's incorrect. It's all about the keyword and the original content
your site provides. Google Does Not care about TLD.
Keywords & Original Content. That's what counts.

He doesn't want to sell it to Google though.

I agree that Google doesn't care about .info when they rank a site (although I know some people disagree) but people buying domain names will pay more for .coms and so they are worth more in that context.

if its a premium such as a one-word or 3number DN info then it has value or if a highly searched keyword(s) but in some ways people do buy .info's - you can check dnsalesprice and leave out keywords and use .info then a list will show.

Hey, if the keyword is right, yes and of course if you are flipping, make sure that it has traffic to increase your odds

I just bought an SEO WSO in which they advised never to buy a .info name because so many spammers have bought these and google views these as spam sites and if you want to rank in google you have to do about 3 times as much work than .com, .net, and .org

A .info will rank just fine in Google, but its perceived value will always be lower than a .com
