Are directory submissions worthwhile and if so which ones?

Hi,

I see in the WSO section sometimes that a special is offered on manual directory submissions - you know 500 or 1000 directory submissions done manually.

Are these services worthwhile and if so which one is the best?

My business that developing is targeted locally so submitting to a few local directories will be worthwhile but not sure about the mass submissions.

    Mass submissions are not good because they are not natural. If you can get yourself listed in the DMOZ Directory, you will be doing very well. That is a very important directory. I so know the free directory submissions do take four or five months to get approved. If you pay money, you can get it listed instantly.

    Yeah better to go around 10 submissions a day - submit at a constant rate rather than all at once.

    Also yay for Tassie (I grew up there)
